Are there height restrictions for the pool slides?

I want to say the restriction is that a child should be able to swim to the side without being caught at the bottom by a parent. But I could be thinking of other places we've been. It's a fairly common rule at most watersides we have been to.

Hi ya'll! Day by day my trip is getting closer :woohoo: but it's still too far away...:guilty: :rotfl:

I was wondering if the resort has a "grab and go" section in the food court and if it does does it include milk cartons? Specifically ones larger than a single serving that we could purchase and keep in the fridge for a few days? I'd like to bring our own cereal packets so we can eat in the room, save time and money.

I think you can buy a half gallon of milk in the gift shop.

I didnt know if you had to be 48" or something like that. Alot of water parks we have been to require you to be a certain height before you can go on some slides. Our son is disappointed every time so just trying to avoid that if possible.

The slide is super tame, and the pool is fairly shallow where it lets out, no reason for a height requirement.

Ha I had to re-read that I thought you had said super lame. Yeah it is very tame. Now the one at the poly has some nice slide to it. But still no height requirements.

I read super lame too...lol

Lol, considering that even though it's just been rain on and off today, (not even sprinkling at the moment), and everything from the water features at the pool, to the hair wrap station, to the boat to DTD, to the pool slide is closed here at the resort, lame is kind of an apt description.

Ohh wow. Missing POR today I tell you!

Just returned... had an awesome time.

Was amazed at how big this resort is.

Kids loved the slide on the pool.

The staff was Great.

Loved YeeHa Bob.

Riverside Mill... just average.

We had a Royal Room... :cool1: - Fun, but not sure it's worth the upgrade price.

I was wondering how your trip was going? The royal theme is very worth it!!!

About $20 plus tip. I've taken taxis from Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge going to.... Caribbean Beach and All Star resorts. Always been about $20-25. That's about the same distance.

Another option that would take more time but add a boat ride... Is to take the boat to Magic Kingdom then bus to POR; or bus to Downtown Disney then boat to POR (still running that late?). But in my 1st night... I'd take a taxi to get back faster so I could get an early start on the parks the next morning.

thank you so much for your help!!!

Just booked 2 nights at POR in a Royal Guest Room 4/18/13-4/20/13 before we have 8 nights Poly CL!!!! :yay:

I am so excited to try out the new RGR and looking forward to learning about POR! :goodvibes

We are booked for POR in November, a garden view room with Free Dining (Yay!). I originally requested a room in Magnolia Terrace, but now my daughters tell me they want to stay in an "alligator room" after looking at more pictures. At this point I don't think I can get a preferred room without losing free dining, what would be a good building to request in AB then?? I was thinking maybe 17?? Its so hard to tell by just looking at the maps, help!

Anyone have any thoughts on my question above???

I just measured the AB pull-down bed for those who wanted to know. The matress is 164 cm (64.5 in) long x 68 cm (30.5 in) wide and it is 64 cm (25 in) high.

Well, it's something to do while waiting for the rain to subside. :)

Andre

I am really surprised to waited this long to measure it. You're out having fun or something?
