I haven't popped in for a while now - everything for the trip is locked-in, done deal. Now all I have to do is wait .... and wait .... and wait *yawn* :teeth:

Noticed that Gorechick was back so came in to be nosey :)

Hope everyone is well x

I'm not ready to share all my details, still tired and have the Disney cold. I will say that we loved the resort on the whole and defintely want to stay there again. I prefer the mansions but don't know how we can beat the Royal Room we had in PP. We had an awesome location and beautiful view. I don't know if I could be satisifed at Magnolia Terrace or Acadian House. :confused3

I hear you. When we got done with our stay, we were depressed to leave also feeling the disney sickness. I believe it took me several weeks to finish our trip report. But cant wait to see the photos when you get better!

Gorechick thanks so much for sharing. I have been following closely, and we leave will get there Saturday in a royal room! I am sooo excited, I can hardly stand it. None of my girls no we are even going, so it will interesting for sure.

We are ALL sick right now, so hoping the antibiotic kicks in...:goodvibes

OK, I know there was a sample room request fax somewhere in this thread. I can't for the life of me find it anymore though

Does anyone know what page it was on or have the link to it? I did our on-line check in today and I'm hoping to fax over a building request on Friday (is that a good time, checking in on Wed 9/5) We have reservations for garden view and will be in AB as we have 5. What buildings would you request? I was looking at 16, 17, or 38???

I am trying to find all who are going March 1-9th 2013? See if anyone has got the same plans and resort?

We'll be there 2/21-3/2/2013 - can't wait! :goodvibes!! You work at POR, right? You may see us all trailing around - 28 family members so far :grouphug:. My husband has a big family, along with some close friends, and we all (mostly) love Disney. We'll look a little dazed and confused at first as we've never stayed at POR ;). We've reserved royal rooms, river view, and requested Oak Manor - fingers crossed!

I'm 20 days out! Woohoo!

Thinking about room requests. My mom is in a Royal Room and we are not. I'm guessing she should request Oak and we should request Magnolia? We wanted connecting rooms but when my mom decided to go, FD was only available in RR so that's what she got. Now we are just trying to be as close as possible.

Our reservations are linked. My TA says that means I don't need to request that we be close together. I think I still need to make requests. Thoughts?

We may just have to say Hi. I have yet to meet fellow DISers there. We are reserved in royal river view rooms also. As it gets closer we shall have to see!!!

We are booked for POR in November, a garden view room with Free Dining (Yay!). I originally requested a room in Magnolia Terrace, but now my daughters tell me they want to stay in an "alligator room" after looking at more pictures. At this point I don't think I can get a preferred room without losing free dining, what would be a good building to request in AB then?? I was thinking maybe 17?? Its so hard to tell by just looking at the maps, help!

i have a quick question. on our first night at riverside we have a 8:15 pm reservation for dinner whispering canyon cafe at wilderness lodge. any idea how much a taxi would cost from wilderness lodge to riverside? if taking the buses back what would be the best options.

We're checking into a Royal Room saturday too!!!! I hope your family gets feeling better.

Thanks so much! I was going cross-eyed trying to find it:goodvibes

No problem! I asked the question a few pages back and someone was kind of enough to PM me the link. Just paying it forward! :)

I still have 14 months until our trip, but I am just getting so excited! I took a part-time job so that I could earn some extra money for our trip. Last week alone, I earned $375!!! It's just nice to know I can sit in my living room, watch TV, and earn money to do something I love (I'm an accountant - it's simple bookkeeping). And hopefully, next tax season, I'll be able to earn a little bit more by doing taxes for a few people. ;)

I check this thread daily 'cause it gives me my POR fix!

About $20 plus tip. I've taken taxis from Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge going to.... Caribbean Beach and All Star resorts. Always been about $20-25. That's about the same distance.

Another option that would take more time but add a boat ride... Is to take the boat to Magic Kingdom then bus to POR; or bus to Downtown Disney then boat to POR (still running that late?). But in my 1st night... I'd take a taxi to get back faster so I could get an early start on the parks the next morning.

Just returned... had an awesome time.

Was amazed at how big this resort is.

Kids loved the slide on the pool.

The staff was Great.

Loved YeeHa Bob.

Riverside Mill... just average.

We had a Royal Room... :cool1: - Fun, but not sure it's worth the upgrade price.

I just measured the AB pull-down bed for those who wanted to know. The matress is 164 cm (64.5 in) long x 68 cm (30.5 in) wide and it is 64 cm (25 in) high.

Well, it's something to do while waiting for the rain to subside. :)

Hi ya'll! Day by day my trip is getting closer :woohoo: but it's still too far away...:guilty: :rotfl:

I was wondering if the resort has a "grab and go" section in the food court and if it does does it include milk cartons? Specifically ones larger than a single serving that we could purchase and keep in the fridge for a few days? I'd like to bring our own cereal packets so we can eat in the room, save time and money.

We brought Cereal as well... but ate it at Riverside Mill.

We got bowls from them, and bought single serving milk, I believe it was $1.49.

I did not see larger containers.
