Question ~ How hot is the deck around Storm-Along? My DS has water shoes...but DD doesn't. I've been debating getting some for her because at the last "waterpark" our feed burned on the concrete? Thoughts?!?! Thanks!

Depends on how sensitive you are to heat. All concrete that bakes in the Fla sun will be hot. Last year ODS, 8 years old at the time was so overcome by the hot concrete that he could not walk, but rather stood there, feet burning, yelling until poor DH picked him up and carried him.

Heading to Canobie Lake Park in NH today for our company outing. It's not Disney, but I'll probably spend a good portion of the day hanging out in the lazy river, floating along and dreaming about being at SAB in 85 days.

I do love me some Canobie Lake. I may be there next Friday night actually. Did the Marriott I suggested work out for ya?


Ok...back on topic. We're leaving 2 weeks from today!

We've been to Canobie Lake park a few times... the kiddie coaster there, I think its shaped like a dragon, was the first one my DS ever rode.

My boys both go barefoot and haven't had any problems with it being too hot.

Same with us - our three boys never need water shoes at SAB. In the summer, they're on swim team so they spend a lot of time barefoot on the pool deck (and so do I!) So the SAB deck is fine for them, and so is TL. (Some posters recommended water shoes for TL, but we didn't need them there either.) In the winter, the deck isn't hot at SAB anyway. As Dannysmom mentioned, could be different if your kids aren't outside barefoot much and/or have sensitive skin.

Now that my "big" move (10 miles away... from old place) is done, except for unpacking, I can start to get excited for my trip again!

The one mile stone that did pass during my move was the 100 day mark!!!

Chilling at SAB right now. I just asked Rocky the pool server for a grey goose slushie and she laughed and proceeded to give me directions to France
I asked how long HH would be down and she did not seem to know the specifics , just that it would be down late this month for some refurb work. She said there will still be pool beverage servers

DH just suggested extending the trip a day. If we do may e we will run run into princess Lily at SAB Tuesday ? Don't want to go back becAuse whn I do coaching starts and them back to school

Totally laughing over all of the talk of Canobie Lake Park!!! I live about 20 minutes from there and grew up going there and now take my girls. We haven't hit it this summer yet, but maybe later August!!! LOL

Question though -- can someone run through the CL offerings at YC??? If the military discount for next year is 40% again, we will likely switch our current GV room to GV CL (if available). We just stayed WL CL and it was fantastic! Just wondering more about YC's offerings.

Growing up I went to Canobie a ton, then we finally went to WDW. Then, Canobie again... biiiiig mistake. its depressing. WDW made me a theme park snob!

We've been to Canobie Lake many times, especially back when Digital Equipment used to take over the park for a day to do employee appreciation days (yes, I know I am seriously dating myself here). Haven't been there in years, but those employee days were fun.

Good idea - I'll do it, too - 2 weeks from today we'll be eating at Flying Fish on the Boardwalk!!!
