You shouldn't need a taxi for a CRT breakfast. The buses run to MK early enough for breakfast ADRs. In just the MK area, there are early breakfasts at CRT, Poly, Contemporary, Crystal Palace, etc. In the event you choose to hire a taxi, be sure to ask to be left off at the Contemporary and then walk from there. Otherwise, the taxi will drop you at the TTC and you'll still need to take a boat or monorail to get to the MK.

They don't need a taxi, but using one will save them a ton of time.:thumbsup2

I LOVE the free parking but I LOVE riding the bus better. After a long day no hunting for the vehicle!

Part of being on vacation for my DH is not having to drive. He loves that part. :)

Us too - love using disney buses. It's so nice to not have to take turns being designated driver, both DH and I can order an adult beverage or two.....:rolleyes1 with no worries :woohoo:

HUNCLE- I will be on the lookout.. Question?? What is the dessert party?

And woo hoo DE8!!! We will have a green Mickey head somewhere in our window of our room to show that this has to be the BEST site out there for crazy Disney people like ourselves!! :dance3::rotfl2:

The Dessert party is The Tomorrowland Terrace Dessert Party within Magic Kingdom

I'll be on the lookout for all of you end-of-May people! We'll be there May 21-31!

:thumbsup2

::yes::

Plus, DH and I do not make the best driver/navigator team. The passenger is always convinced he/she should be doing the driving! :rotfl:

Sweet niblets! I just remembered that I have forgotten (LOL) what area was recommended that I ask for. We'll be there very soon, and haven't checked in online because the room requests I had weren't an option to choose.

We're looking for two connecting rooms... quiet would be nice, but near the buses. I'm sorry to ask again, but what are the recommended floors/areas?

Also, I heard something about the monorails having limited hours, or not running... does anyone remember the details on that?

:grouphug:

Hi I just dropped in to see if anyone will be at POP soon. I was hoping that we could send you on a photo mission AOA should be looking great . Also wondering if they know at POP if the bridge will be open when AOA opens?

I called POP and they said that the buses start only one hour before the park opens. Since the park opens at 9 and my reservation is at 8:10, we wouldn't make it. Do they start 1 hour before the 1st reservation or 1 hour prior to the park opening?

I think the busses start at 7am. So you would make it just fine.

Buses are running by 6:30 every single morning.

As you are most likely aware, connecting rooms are available in all bldgs. For standard rooms, 70s (bldg 6 & 10) and 50s (bldg 4 & 5) and also 80s/90s (bldg 9). What category did you book? :)

Re the monorail ...in March of this year the monorail had reduced operating hours due to the DVC construction at the GF; however the monorail is back to normal hours. But it is not certain if Disney will need to implement this again.

Last year, the monorail cut back service for both the Epcot and MK lines, to stop operation 1 hour after regular park closing; which means the monorail is not available after evening extra magical hours. Guests need to take a bus or boat where available. :goodvibes

I booked standard - we don't generally care about our view. I think I read that the 70s would be a great area, up somewhere on the 4th floor maybe? To be close to buses/food court?

Sorry, missed about your reference to being quiet...:) Yes, upper floors generally are quieter (we usually request the 4th floor). Not to say the lower floors will not be quiet as well, location comes into play too (if you are in a direct path to Classic Hall or pool facing for example). Our stay on the 2nd floor last visit was so quiet ... we were lakeside bldg 3, end room ... we didn't even know if we had neighbors!

Yes, the non-preferred 70s areas (courtyard facing bldg 9 or facing bldg 5 as well as foosball facing rooms) would all be fine. Keep in the mix bldg 9 - the backside area (closest to the 90s lot) as it is also convenience to Classic Hall & busing.

I assume that connecting rooms are your first request and most important, and that everything flows from that request. When you are at check in, if you are not happy with your room location, you can always ask the CM to move you and they will do their best.:)

Good luck and have a wonderful time!

I originally booked a preferred room at POP, but we decided to change to a Standard room and upgrade our tickets to Park Hoppers (helped with some cost.)

I have two small daughters (will be 3 and 17 months during our trip) and I would like for it to be quiet for nap time/bed time. We will have a stroller, and will be using Disney transportation. I think I would like a lakeview (possibly firework), but are all of those far away from the dining area and transportation...and possibly not worth the stroller hassle?

Any thoughts or recommendations on specific requests?

You may want to ask for building 3 facing the lake or Lakeview. IMO those rooms are all still close. We always book standard but like building 4 or 5 facing the lake. But the fireworks can be seen from building 3. Also the bowling pin pool is very quite compared to the main pool.
