So is the free DDP only for a select resorts this time around? Or are some resorts have so few rooms for FD that they may already be booked. IE online, it only pulls up all stars for value and doesn't pull up POFQ for mod. Maybe it'll be different later on in the day. Just thought I'd ask as previously, all the resorts had FD available.

Yes, it would be very nice if folks can report back with the following:

Which resorts were available
Any restrictions on room catergory, if any (garden view, preferred, etc...)

We booked under the Disney Visa, and I think POR only allowed certain room types (we are garden view)

Also, I'm seeing some posts about Pop Century...was there no free dining availability there?

Canadians have always been able to book the U.S. free dining offers in the past. You may want to call and verify with Disney reservations, but I'd cancel the TA and call myself and book it.

Maybe because we already were offered free dining last September? I booked the Canadian Free Dining offer when it opened in September 2011 for arrival September 16th.

You need to go under Special Offers at the bottom of the WDW website and book through the link on there. There is absolutely no reason why someone from Canada can not book this free dining deal.

I got it booked online Was trying it out and success
Didn't get the resort I wanted - which was Coronado, ended up with Port Orleans, Riverside. Hopefully its a good place....

Call Disney directly. It is open to everyone including Canadians

I just called and booked All Star Sports (the only value left, I wanted Pop) for 7 nights and a 6 day park hopper.

They quoted me $1711.47 for Coronado Springs for the same dates/tickets.

I have always booked free dining in the summer (june) for Sept so I am hoping they will offer it again and I can change my resort to Pop. But if not, I will still have a fabulous time.

Maybe i'll meet a cute athlete

For all that are having a problem getting Pop, I was just able to get 2 preferred rooms at Pop for dates 08/25 through 09/01 with FD. The first few times I checked, there was no availability online but then my dates magically became available so I called and was able to get 2 rooms. I am thinking people are calling and canceling and/or upgrading to different resorts which in turn is opening up some availability sporadically at Pop. Good luck!!

Go to the specials area, click on free dining - check availability It will then ask you what type of level hotel you want. Then it will generate one of them and the promo should be highlighted just under the hotel picture.
