Disney Confessions

-Never had a dole whip.

-I'm a big baby when it comes to thrill rides, I never ride them.

-Magic Kingdom is my favorite park because of Fantasyland.

-I've never stayed at a resot or eaten at any of the resturants at the parks or in the resorts. This is because I stay off site and eat easy, cheap food in the parks.

-I hate the movie Aladdin, I love the music but I hate the movie. On the same topic Princess Jasmine is my least favorite princess.

I don't like Sunshine Seasons - I don't see what the attraction is - the food was greasy and either under or over cooked.

I've never seen Fantasmic or Wishes (and I've been to Disney World over 20 times).

I love AK - spend 2 days there first trip - planning on another 2 when we go back
Never had a Dole Whip - crazy since I love pineapple & wanted to get one

My first post on the boards are confessions of course.

- I don't get the big deal about Soarin'. Definitely wasn't worth waking up early and standing in a 2hr line bored out of my skull.
- Turkey Legs are my ultimate Disney food!
- Was extremely annoyed when The Living Seas was changed to be Nemo themed. That movie annoys me, and I don't get the hype.
- I dread AK. I love the attractions and the idea, but it inevitably ends up being the longest, hottest and most exhausting day.

I SOOOO agree about The Living Seas. It had been years between Disney trips and I did not know that they changed it until we got there. I was crushed.

Also, I agree that AK seems to be the "longest, hottest and most exhausting day." Unfortunately for me. My DS loves animals and that is his favorite park!

I've never managed to personally experience the following in MK:

Country Bear Jamboree
Dumbo the Flying Elephant
Enchanted Tiki Room
Hall of Presidents
Liberty Square Riverboat
The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
Mickey's Philharmagic
Snow White's Scary Adventures

Not sure why - I will endeavor to rectiify this. Is it OK for a 44 year old woman to ride dumbo by herself :confused3

Whoa....when did I get to be 44 how did that happen?????

I think that Ellen's Universe of Energy is an excellent place to take a nap. :rolleyes1

I cry during the American Experience.

Our next trip isn't planned until Oct, 2012 and we started a spreadsheet for it on the return plane from our last trip in Sept 2010. pirate:

1)YES, I have little kids and YES, I have used single strollers in our past DW trips, BUT I HATE strollers and we are being very brave this year (in only 25 more days:cool1:) and going to Disney with an 8 year old and an almost 5 year old without any strollers...wish us luck:rotfl:

2)I dream of going to Disney with just my husband and NO kids!!!

3)I want to live in Epcot and move around from country to country, that's how much I love it!!!

My confessions are:

1) I have more fun at WDW when DH and I visit without the kids. I prefer the adult only vacation. Probably because I can focus on enjoying myself instead of keeping up with the kids and meeting all of their needs.

2) I always feel sorry for the little girls who are dressed up in those itchy princess costumes and wearing tons of makeup and hairspray (ie the BBB girls) while having to walk around in the heat.

3) I don't get why people want to decorate their hotel room doors at Disney. I think it makes the resort look trashy and ghetto like.

The animatronics on half of the rides freak me out. And it seems on those select rides I have to be on when it breaks down.
Spaceship Earth freaks me out the worst. I'm going to be brave and go on tomorrow though. Hopefully no break downs :(

Here is my Disney Confession. Love it and love planning to go back to it so much that we have "planned our next child" around Disney and Disney trips. Lots of hours spent with "if we get pregnant in X month then baby would be born in X month and we could go back to disney when?????" Current plan to have baby sometime next May/June/July then back to Disney in Feb 2013. Of course we have trip planned for this October. (check the dates:rotfl:)

I have to agree on the lack of love for Nemo. For the love of Pete, he took over two of my favorite attractions.

which brings me to my first confession....

1- I was a total Tarzan ROCKS! groupie when I lived nearby!! We'd go see Tarzan any time we'd go to the parks... myself and several of my friends from college loved that stinkin' show so much that we knew the singers all by name (and multiple names in some cases) and could recognize a great portion of them in street clothes.. it's quite embarrassing to admit to this! lol -- I boycotted the Nemo show at DAK for a very long time.. i finally saw it, it was ok, and some of my faves from Tarzan are in it, but it's still not Tarzan!

2- I do HATE that the Living Seas was rethemed with Nemo... *sigh*. It's not the same, and I think it sucks. :(

3- I REALLY HATE turkey legs! I think they're gross and barbaric and smell and taste like hot dogs! (i'm also convinced they're not turkey, but that's another day, another topic!)

4- I'm a 30-something single woman, no kids, and I love Disney World so much that exactly 2 weeks from this posting, I'll be having dinner with Cinderella and the rest of her wackadoodle family at 1900 Park Fare.. all by myself!

5- and just like the lady on one of those Travel Channel programs says, "I cry when I get there and I cry when I leave

OH! And because the emoticons reminded me... I want to "grow up" and one day become both a Pirate pirate: and a Princess princess: (but not a Pirate Princess! :p)

OH! Reading through some of the later pages reminds me of this, too... I *ALSO HATE* Tinker Bell ... I think she's.. well.. some words that aren't so Disney friendly... I also really dislike that she shows up on the rear ends of shorts and sweat pants!

After seeing the memories and you show on the castle....I was slightly bummed out...its like all things Disney got vomited all over the castle...not impressed.

I don't care for Animal Kingdom. It's too much like a zoo for my tastes. And I can go to a number of zoo only a few hours from my house for much cheaper.

I have a weird obsession with Snow White's Scary Adventures, lol
I prefer the MCoA over Dumbo ( sorry! I realize Dumbo was first, but I guess Im just more of an Aladdin fan)
Turkey legs kinda gross me out...have yet to try one
I thought Illuminations was overrated, and didnt feel very "Disney"
I love being in Hollywood Studios at night

Ok. .. this is a little scary because I KNOW I'll get flamed. . .but here goes. .

I actually like the current Journey Into Imagination better than the original!

I'm so glad I'm not alone! We've gone there, but it just seems like I don't know, the Disney feeling just isn't there. No idea why, just do not like it particularly. And yes, they say Nahtazu (not a zoo), yeah, uh-huh. Thanks I'll log that away.

I have a new confession. On the trip that I just came back from me and my best friend waited an hour and a half to see the Tangled characters not even because we liked the movie ( we love it) but just because we thought Flynn was attractive. The women that was in front of us with her kids was like wow you girls must really like him a lot to be waiting in this line ( I don't normally wait for characters if the line is going to be longer then 5 mins) so yeah it's that bad.

Forgive me Father for I have Sinned:

1. Disney Counter Service food gasses me up like a Sports car. I've cropdusted large outside areas with a reckless disregard for others sensitivities.

2. I had every princess in the big top meeting area cackling like a bunch of hens when I remarked to my wife (more loudly than I thought) "I bet MAry Poppins wears really saucy Lingerie". I still believe it to...Let a man have his thought for petes sake

3. I fell asleep in the HAll of presidents show and was woke up by a CM because I was snoring so loud. My wife thought this was hysterical...Her sense of humor is suspect.

4. DD and DS were acting up whilst in the POC line. I calmly said "You guys keep it up and there's going to be a butt kicking right here in the POC line and It's going to look like this" (I then put my hand down to butt level and kicked it) the whole crowd who was within ear shot died laughing. The kids looked at me like I was the funniest man on the planet and proceeded to make this statement a running joke to this day.

How many hail mary's is this gonna cast me this time>

Oh wow! I always cry at the end too! My daughter had a high school powerpoint to do a few years back on American History. We found and attached the song Golden Dreams. She got a 100 because the teacher said it made her feel like she was at Disney at the show!

I love this thread.....I am :lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:.... I have another confession that I forgot, while on our last trip in 2009, my children ranged in ages of 16,17 and 21 I believe...Anyways, they got into the normal sibling bickering and arguing in the middle of MK, so mama said you guys keep arguing and I am going on my own and you guys can text me when you are ready to get along and act like a decent group of humans, well of course they kept on arguing, mama hands out the cards and says SEE YA!!!!!!! I was gone, I hopped on the monorail and went to HS and had a wonderful, quite time lol...2 Hours later I got a call like this "mom, were are you, we wanna ride rides with you"...We met up and not a ounce of bickering for the rest of the trip....I did not have a ounce of regret as this was the perfect timing to do this because they were getting on my ever loving nerves...LOL....:thumbsup2

Oh I LOVED this post SO MUCH!!! Because here is a confession I almost forgot about. . .

I HAVE been known to tell my teenage daughters, "This is a happy place. This is a fun place. If you don't start acting happy and like you're having fun I will beat the fun into you!"

. . . . sometimes only the mom of a teenager understands.
