So This is What a Dream Tastes Like

Once we boarded the ship we headed up to Cabanas for lunch.

Wow! This buffet had so many options. We were seated with out much of a wait.

We were right by a window and had a rainy view of the Carnival ship.

I ran up and got Claire’s food and then came back to get mine….then mom took her turn. There was so much to choose from. I needed to bring an extra stomach.

Claire and I got some of the chocolate chip cookies I have heard so much about….these were awesome. I could go for about 6 of them right now!

Claire had fries, a roll, chicken nuggets, mac and cheese, chicken noodle soup and of course the cookie. I think the cookie is the only thing she completely finished!

Mom and I just filled our plates with whatever looked good. There was so much to chose from, it was impossible to try it all.

Claire got Cheesecake for dessert and I got chocolate mousse and a few more cookies! Mom got some hard dip ice cream that she said was to die for. It was pineapple coconut. I don’t like coconut, so I didn’t give it a try and was too full to go up and try any other flavors.

I took several different pictures of Cabanas through the cruise and will be sure to post them in my Trip report.

The food was excellent. Much better than I had expected! I heard from many people that Disney cruise line food wasn’t all that great. I think it was much better than the park food. I was pleasantly surprised with this first meal and couldn’t wait to try a few more.

Signing on !! We are traveling on the Disney Dream NEXT April and I completely CANNOT wait !!! Looking forward to seeing your reviews and hoping to latch on to your trip report as well as we can't decide whether to do the parks BEFORE our cruise ... or after. Any advice would most welcome. So sad your DH couldn't go, but that is a farmer's life. I come from Iowa dairy farmers myself, so I understand how that goes.

BTW ... link us in to your trip report so we can follow along there. I can't wait to see EVERYTHING !!

Great food shots Jen! And the focus looks great. Were you happy with how that worked during your trip?

Share some cookies? I'm addicted to the McDonald's chocolate chip cookies. I'm guessing the Disney ones were........ SLIGHTLY ........... better! :thumbsup2

I've wanted to try it for years, but still was a little leary. I now know I absolutely love it.

I'm in and loving it!!! Those Mickey noodles are way too cute! Looking forward to more...

They are probably similar to McDonalds. I love those cookies too.
For the most part, I did OK with focus...but then there are shots I thought I did well, and when I got them on the computer I see they are way out of focus or focused on the wrong thing...but that could be me rushing instead of taking time to take the picture.

Thanks for the update, Jen!

Yes, they seat you at Cabanas. Our room was a few decks down from Cabanas, so I cut through there a lot and they were always trying to seat me.

Subbing so I can follow!

Hi Tammy!!!

Very excited to read a Dream dining report! I've still got 9...long...months...until our Dream cruise but I'm still excited every single day. Can't wait to hear more!
