Some of the rooms on the fifth floor (like around 5726) are further away from the lounge than the deluxe club level rooms on the other floors.

LOL...that was our room a couple of weeks ago. It's a standard view standard CL room with a king bed and two standing balconies since it's at the corner of the building...and by standard view, they really do mean lousy view.

We overlooked roof and bus stop on one side and the YC dumpsters and loading docks on the other. Can't see it with the sheers pulled across the windows, though, and the room is huge, so that was great.

We were at the very end of the hall, the absolute farthest from the lounge you could be, but it was really only a couple of minutes' walk. Would have been nicer to be closer to the lounge, but our priority was the king bed, so we were content with it.

I've got pics of the view somewhere that I'll try to post so people can get an idea of what "standard" means in terms of view. In the meantime, if view is a priority, book garden view not standard.

Just curious? Have you attended Star Wars Weekends before? We are scheduled to be there during this, and have never been. How packed is DHS during this event?

We went once during this week... it was pretty packed not near as busy as the week after Christmas but slow moving lines and lots of people. Packed restaraunts ect. Definitely doable but busy. We aren't really Star Wars Fans and ended up there on accident. This year we are going back and because we don't "have" to see it we will avoid that park during the weekend.

Um, what????? I know that happened last year. I read that the slide was not as slippery as it needed to be and they were doing an unplanned refurb on it. But this year too???? NOOOOO! That will def make us change our plans, yet again! Oh no, somebody please say it isn't so....

I thought the slide was being refurbed right now?

Us! BC 8/24-8/30...First time at BC and we can't wait, but shhhhh the kids don't know yet.

We'll be at BC the same dates (Aug 24th - 30th) - DD's (will be 3 1/2) first trip. Can't wait!

Last May for an "emergency unplanned quick fix". Nothing scheduled for this year except right now (January through early February). Normal pool maintenance is always done January-March. Of course, just like your car, unplanned things happen that need to be fixed sometimes.

Stay club level and you'll get them every night in the lounge ... at least in the past they were up in the lounge from 8-10 PM. Can anybody that's been there recently please confirm?

TeenaS, thanks so much for clarifying the slide refurb! I remember reading your comments about the unplanned slide refurb last year. Glad to know that there's not anything planned for May. Will cross my fingers (and toes) that this doesn't change.

Here's a photo of the Oreo Bonbons from the Concierge Lounge in July. They were there frequently, but I don't think it was every night. That's a raspberry cheesecake, too, I believe.

Hey Everyone!

I have gotten so tired of this winter that I booked a 4-day weekend at BC starting Friday (4th). I'm usually one of those overplanners that books everything 18 months early, so it's very unusual for me to book something ten days away.

We're actually seated separately on a couple of our connecting flights....a possibility I hadn't thought about before. Don't care....can't wait for warmer weather and Disney!

Oh that sounds heavenly. We aren't even considering a trip until next year. Everytime I read this thread, I think about being knee-deep in planning for our trip last Thanksgiving and wish it was this year as well.
Have a great trip in the sun. (something many of us haven't seen for a while!!)
