Coronado Springs Resort -- New Unofficial FAQ Thread -- October 2010

Learned my lesson.....I'll be returning "home" to CSR for our next trip in October 2011. We stayed at POR for our trip last week. While it is a beautiful resort, it is in need of a renovation. I am of the understanding that it's going to happen soon. That being said, I just don't get that feeling of absolute comfort and relaxation that I get at CSR. I'm not sure why, but clearly I'm not alone on this one!:goodvibes

for the people who returned recently, are housekeeping really bad? Are the rooms not cleaned? Just reading a few reviews and starting to get nervous but then my husband says alot of hotel (even high ends) sometimes have a sloppy cleaing and its can happen anywhere.

Got a pincode yesterday and the card said it was good for our dates BUT CSR did not have any rooms under the pincode and the other few I checked just for fun were not going to be cheaper so we are keeping our ressie. But that is two pincodes this year that I have not been able to use.

I'm sorry you couldn't use it at CSR. :sad2:

I have NEVER, in over 20 visits, had a pincode.

And here I am wasting perfectly good ones! And can you believe my husband will not let us go twice this year? He is a pincode killer!

We had no problems in September; if you have a major problem, call mousekeeping OR go to the front desk; don't wait until the end of the trip, do it right away.

I just upgraded my vacation from the POP to CSR, and I'm so glad I did! :woohoo: It looks like a beautiful resort, and the recent upgrades to the rooms look fantastic. This thread is so helpful! I'm thinking of calling tomorrow and requesting Casitas building 4 or 5...can't wait! :dance3:

Agree with Kat about Casitas 4, perfect location!! but we LOVE Casitas 3. :goodvibes it will put you a little closer to the Pepper Market (food court) than 4 or 5. And if you're lucky you will get a view of the lake!
Anyway.... Casitas is our favorite area for sure!! :goodvibes

We stay at Coronado Springs in 09, we stayed at Casitas 3. We could walk undercover to the food court, so if it did rain we didn't get wet. We put that in our request for 2011.

We ate lunch at the Pepper Market in Oct. I got the ribeye with grilled veggies and potatoes and my husband got some kind of Mexican steak covered with red sauce, that came with rice, black beans, grilled veggies and a side of guacamole and jalapenos. I didn't notice if the Wok station was open, sorry.

does the ribeye come on the dining paln as a counter service?

Our room was clean when we got the call that it was (We got there early and it wasn't ready yet.) and then the day that I let them in, it was clean. We didn't have any problems and neither did either of our friends that went. (2 other rooms)

Just modified our reservation- we were going to be staying at Pop from Sep 29- Oct 6, but dh found out CSR is the only Value or Moderate with queen beds, so this is where he wanted to stay! I am super excited! We stayed at CSR in 2005 for our honeymoon and we are super excited to go back! I am looking forward to a relaxing vacation! And I am sure dd 4 will LOVE the playground and pool!

Welcome back!!! You will be amazed at the changes in the rooms.

According to someone who told me (I thought they said it was on allears, but I've not found it yet), the ribeye, the wet burrito as well as the WOK station are back. I have no idea how for long, but for anyone going soon, all three are there.

I just booked our trip for Sept 2011! After reading all that everyone has said here and all that Kat has done on the thread I cannot wait. It will be my DS first trip and he will be 18 months. My sis and bil will be joining my dh, ds, and I. After 2 years of not going to WDW I am in MAJOR need to see the mouse!

Going back in Jan 23rd-29th, 2011. :cool1: My first trip was in Aug 2007 for a gospel music convention @ CSR. Didn't get to enjoy the parks much was attending seminars. Plus heat-humidity & being plus size is not too COOL in Florida. :rotfl:

Uhhhmmm... thanks, guys. We haven't been to CSR in a few years... were booked for Pop next weekend... and then I clicked on this thread, and had to call in and upgrade my reservation.
