Coronado Springs Resort -- New Unofficial FAQ Thread -- October 2010

Can someone recommend a building to request for two adults without any children. We are just staying two days and have never been to the Coronado Springs. We would like to be near the food court and the bus stop.

Also, can someone tell me how the bus system works. I am not sure if I have this right or not. Do specific stops have specific busses based on the park you want to go too or do you have to go to the main stop to get the different busses. The only other place we have stayed at was Pop and there all the busses are located in one area.

Thanks for the help!

DH and I have traveled without our kids the last several trips. We LOVE Casitas 4 and 5; Casitas 4 is close to Bus Stop 2, the quiet pool, fitness center/spa.

The buses work like this. Each Park bus stops at the bus stops in this order: Bus Stop 2, 3, 4 and then 1 before heading to the park. The only time this is different is the bus that goes to Downtown Disney (then the order is 1, 2, 3 and 4). When returning form the parks, the stops are the same as when you were picked up. Each bus will have it's destination on it (MK, Epcot, etc.).

Agree with Kat about Casitas 4, perfect location!! but we LOVE Casitas 3. :goodvibes it will put you a little closer to the Pepper Market (food court) than 4 or 5. And if you're lucky you will get a view of the lake!
Anyway.... Casitas is our favorite area for sure!! :goodvibes

The menu for Pepper Market (here on DisBoards) shows it was updated 10/10; it says there is a ribeye steak, and shows the Wok station is open.
Are both of these back? I seem to remember that neither of those were available any more. Would be great if so!

Can anyone who was there recently verify? Thanks!

I'm having a heck of a time deciding between casitas or cabanas for our December trip. Any pros or cons? It's DBF and myself for our HONEYMOON
I like casitas because the fountains and the lighting looks so beautiful at night, but I like the cabanas because of the beachy theming. We're coming from AZ, so don't want a super desert-y theme. Any suggestions?

:santa::santa:Yay! Did some resort changing....my DD's and I , along with friends are now staying at CSR in December! Have wanted to stay here for abt 3 yrs now...:laughing:and things always have changed! Not changing this time.....I will do a value in Jan for my solo Marathon trip:santa::santa:

Just back and I know there was a Ribeye station but can't confirm the Wok station. Full TR on it's way, with a ton of photos!!

Personally, DH and I, like the Casita better -- we just find the fountains and courtyards a little bit more romantic. Don't get me wrong, we really like Cabanas 8A, but we spent our 25th anniversary in Casitas 3 -- LOVE it.

Personally, I think the Casitas are nicer...I agree with Kathy, they definitely seem more romantic. The Cabanas beach is nice, but the architecture itself is a lot blander over there.

Granted, that's just my opinion -- I'm sure others feel differently!

I just made our reservations for next Sept. (3rd-11th) for CSR. This will be our first time staying here... have previously stayed at POR (2008) and CBR (2010), and we are very excited to try something new!

Looking forward to the queen beds, the Dig Site, and the (hopefully) less crowded buses. When we went in Sept. this year, it seemed like the bus lines leaving the parks was hardly ever long for CSR, especially compared to CBR. The service itself was great at CBR, but many, many crowded buses. It doesn't look like there's a convention scheduled yet, but even if there is, I don't mind... just means that we're in our happy place!!!!

When we were at CSR this past May we noticed the bus lines were much longer at CBR than CSR too. I already had reservations at CBR for Oct. Every time we saw how much longer the bus lines were at CBR than CSR my friend would laugh and ask me if I was sure I wanted to stay at CBR in Oct.:rotfl: Sure enough when my husband and I was at CBR in Oct, he kept noticing how much shorter the CSR bus line was than ours and asked why I didn't book us back at CSR.:rotfl: (We had stayed at CSR in Dec and he loved it, especially the great bus service). I'm back at CSR solo Dec 4th, but have booked POFQ for me and my husband in May.:rotfl:

We ate lunch at the Pepper Market in Oct. I got the ribeye with grilled veggies and potatoes and my husband got some kind of Mexican steak covered with red sauce, that came with rice, black beans, grilled veggies and a side of guacamole and jalapenos. I didn't notice if the Wok station was open, sorry.

That's great to know -- thank you both for the info!
