Who Loves College Football

BOOMER SOONER!!!!!

Season tickets came in the mail a couple of weeks ago, and I'm ready for the season to start! I love college football!

My nephew played for DePauw & is on the coaching staff of Indy Pike.
Kae

My DH played center for Pike (years and years ago, of course)!!

He was actually All-County and was recruited for Brown University, but they took one look at him and told him he was too small, which was OK with him since he wanted to to go IU and do pre-med, instead of playing college football.

We were at the Pike-Carmel championship game, one of the last events for the old RCA Dome, a few years ago. Nice to see Pike get into the championship game - too bad about the outcome. . .

You can tell by my username that I'm just a bit of a college football fan! :rotfl: Can't wait 'til kickoff!!!

GO DAWGS!!!!!

Oh..and I'm a female, too!

Dh and I are both Purdue Grads.

Go Boilers!!!
Boiler Up

Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Florida Gators! I'm also supporting Boston College because of Mark Herzlich. Mark's a friend from the hospital where we were both treated for bone cancer.

My nephew is a Pike Grad. And we were at that game, it was his first year on staff.

WOOOOOOO PIIIIIGGGGGG SOIEEEEEEEEEEEE RAZORBACKS!!!

Arkansas girl here!

Married to a Michigan Boy who has a brother at Purdue.

Love college football Saturdays! Nothing better than fall weather and football.

Boiler-Up!

Both my wife and I are Purdue grads and we are also season ticket holders. I make the trip from Milwaukee for each and every home game

I will have to PM you with cell number and our seats, maybe we can get togehter and say Hi some game. My son runs a large tail gate in the north parking lot most games, maybe garb you a drink.

Thanks for sending Joe Tiller back home after he retired. We missed him...

I really liked Joe, he did seem to have lost some of the drive the last couple of years, but he was a great coach who gave us my memories.

He also to all us Purdue fans his name is in the phone book and if we are out his way to stop in and say Hi. I might just do that one summer, I want to take our Pontiac Solstice for a drive out west.

ND doesn't want to wait for this, but then again what top team does want to wait to rebuild. When you let a coach go and don't have the advantage that Purdue did in both football and basketball, when Tiller and Keady retired but the replacement coaches were already hired and in place as asistant coaches, it seems like the bigger the college name, the less latatude they have for rebuilding the team. It's not gonna happen over night, it's not gonna happen in a year, give the staff time, people.

It will be interesting to watch ND these next few years to see how they progress under the new coaching staff.

I understand what you are saying, even at Purdue Keady left the shelf bare and we have several bad years, but Painter has got us on the right track and in the hunt for some title's. I am hopeful that Hope can do the samething, last year was his first and he lost at least 3 games for us with bad calls using time out's. I hope Hope has learned from last year. It is also a little easier turing around a basketball program then football. But again I live fall and college football.

Also I enjoyed telling my ND friends lst year I hoped that Charlie would be around a long time.

Oh and I believe that Joe Paterno has earned the right to coach until he dies right there on the field and they carry him out feet first. Amen.

I agree:thumbsup2, hope he does not pull a Wooding Hayes.

In today's game coaches do not stay a one school, to bad.

WhooHoo!! I love it!!

GO BIG RED!!!We are season ticket holders and I can't wait for the games to begin.
WE ARE BACK!!!

Just to let you know, Wisconsin already holds the patent for GO BIG RED in the Big Ten so you guys will have to bring something new next year! :lmao: (ok, pretty sure this isn't true, but also pretty sure a Badger will tear the heck out of husks of corn!!!)

 Love football season, especially when it's been tough to watch the Cubbies! Obviously we are Bucky Badger fans! :woohoo: The tough part is DBF grew up in Green Bay so is a Packers fan and I grew up in IL so am a Bears fan so we love each other on Saturdays and talk trash to each other on Sundays!

ON WISCONSIN

DH's favorite fan of all!!! One of his best friends is a die hard FSU fan also. For one of the games, DH made up the FSU mascot using a unicorn stuffed animal (as the horse, of course) and borrowed a child's magic wand for the spear. That poor guy caught hell! It was funny! :lmao:

:lmao::lmao::lmao:

Notre Dame Fighting Irish and Florida Gators! I'm also supporting Boston College because of Mark Herzlich. Mark's a friend from the hospital where we were both treated for bone cancer.

I hope everything is going well in your recovery. I hope Mark makes it all the way back. He's having a tough go right now with a broken foot but I have never seen anyone more determined.
