I have always been envious of people who get towel animals... I've never got on :sad1:..... maybe this trip....

Thsi was the absolute first time we've ever gotten them and we've been about 15 times now. She was great but I don't know really know how common it is. Anybody?

It really is all about the mousekeeper--some have mad towel animal skills and others do not.

We received many this year as well (same as those you received Zuzu03), but in our many, many stays, that was more the exception than the rule. It is fun to get them and we enjoyed our creations.

We've actually received more towel animals while staying at BC than the Polynesian.

McDomzal.
That's Hilarious, I will write something everyday so you can look at it!!

jetskigrl,

That's so weird my husband never talks about trips before hand, He says he has to focus on work and he never gets too excited about a trip in advance, or he doesn't show it. But this Disney trip he's asked so many questions and he brings it up in conversation to me all the time, It's wonderful, It makes me even more excited, if that's at all possible....

Speaking of packing for your family-- Am I the only one who packs for myself, the kids and my husband and the golf clubs. On the trip I even put toothpaste on all their toothbrushes (including husbands) in morning and at night, I think its because I'm a little bit of a control freak--a little OCD maybe... Do yall also keep your hotel room neat, I make my beds and have everything put away in its neat little place... The mousekeeper or housekeepers never have much to do in my rooms..LOL!

P.S. Did I mention, I have not worked outside of my home since my children were born so I consider it my job...and take pride in it!!!

Have a magical day!

jkstewart1800,

Never? I've had towel animals every trip to Disney almost everyday, Do your children have toys in your room when you go to Disney, maybe they didn't do it because they didn't think you had children with you, but grown ups like them too!! That's crazy, Good luck getting them this trip.. I bet you will.

I remember once when Emma was little we came back to the room (we were at Port Orleans) and all of her stuffed animals were sitting in the window waiting for us - that was really cute and she was thrilled!!

Zuzu03
thx, for the photo's! They usually have my children's toys interacting with their towel animals. When my children were younger they like to have a puppet show with them...

Thanks for the pics Zuzu03! I love the elephants & monkey! On our last trip we just got one animal on the first day and that was it. The kids were a little disappointed - fortunately my sister & her DH gave their (one) towel animal to us so that each of the little ones could have an animal.

I read in a thread quite a while ago about a family staying in the cabins that came back to a towel-animal jungle - elephants & monkeys everywhere - even in the fridge! (I think they said the mousekeeper posed it so it looked like the monkey was drinking their milk) That would be so cool!

That would be cool to have a towel-animal jungle party in the room when you returned!

Oh and about those Lapu Lapu's making you invisible after 2 (MsStinkerbelle! ;)) - my DH and I tested that theory and found it to be quite, quite true. DH added that after 3, you are bulletproof. I didn't go THAT far!

Thanks for sharing the pictures. We are looking forward to our trip in a couple of weeks. We use to always stay at the Polynesian when my kids were younger. We haven't been there since the remodel. I'm surprised that there aren't bedskirts:confused3 Even my dh noticed that in the picture. In the grand scheme of things not of big deal, but the little touches make a difference when you shell out the $$$$$!

It's funny that you mentioned the bedskirts! I thought of that too when I saw that picture! Like you said, not really a big deal, but even the $50 a night motels I have stayed in have bed skirts!

don't want to bore everyone with all of my photos!!!

Hahah, you asked for it! Okay, I'll had a few each day so that you can get more and more excited!!! Here's another one:

:dance3: Found your pics!:woohoo: Keep em' comin'! Didn't you just love early morning at the Poly??!! It's the best.

This is a bit off topic but I am going to cancel one of my reservations for Le Cellier on Sept 10th for lunch. If anyone wants it let me know. Its for 3 people. I was able to snag an earlier one.

Got my price for 9 nights GV in May 2011. Talk about an increase! :scared1: The price TA gave me include taxes but from what you guys say, it is, a remarquable increase. But, I'll call her tomorrow to give my deposit. So, just a matter of hours before we are committed! :yay: :woohoo:

Hi everyone - here are a few pics from our recent CL stay. We had a great time but it started to get really crowded last Saturday. CL was great, the CMs were very nice and helpful and the CMs in the lounge were always very pleasant. We had room #3524 - GV. I'll post more a bit later about it.

Our room was READY at 8:30 a.m.!!!! Emma was pretty excited!

Okay, enough towel animals - how 'bout a nice relaxing view???

I LOOOVE your pics, espcially that last one!! :sunny:

We've only gotten a handful of towel animals in all of our Disney resort stays. But we've gotten them every single night on the cruises we've done (Disney and Royal Caribbean cruises), so I don't mind at all not getting them. And I realize that this isn't something that housekeeping is supposed to do, it's just something that some of them do as a little extra touch. I'm happy for those who get them! :)

Here's my favorite, from our stay at the Polynesian 2 weeks ago:

Great pictures! I've never had any towel animals either, but I love seeing pictures of them it's really cool that the mousekeepers take time to make them and set them out for people.
