Will you be dining at V&A this trip??

I have not dined at V&A yet! It is on my list, but there are so many great places. We loved Narcoossee's and are dining there our first night, and Citrico's is also very good. Going to try Brown Derby, Teppan Edo and return to Yachtsman Steakhouse, 1900 PF, Narc, Crystal Palace this time.

V&A's is amazing!! When you decide to go, you will not be disappointed!

We love all of your dining choices, especially Citricos and Narcoosse's, we go there nearly every trip.

Hi we have a standard room at the SL booked,will we have a balcony?Also we booked in January and i contacted the IPO in Feb and haven't heard a thing from,to be honest i just gave up but is that normal not to hear back from them?Shouldn't they have contacted us by now?we go on 22nd April.

Have you either emailed or phoned them? When I upgraded to CL I didn't want for them to contact me but rather I immediately contacted them. Their email is Grand.Floridian.Itinerary.Planning@disneyworld.com.

We may be changing our arrival day dinner plans from Citricos to Tony's so that my DS can ride the "choo choo" first thing! (I try to be a good mom like that when I can, cause I work so much...) My mom made the ressies at Tony's cause that's where she thought we were going, so we have both right now and can decide....

So if we do that, should DH and I keep our date night at Narcoosee's, which would be a new place for us or switch to Citricos? We ate there a few years ago and loved it.... Our Narcoosee's ADR is for 8:30, so we should be there for wishes that night....

I can't believe we'll be at WDW in less than a month! I'm so excited I could burst!

Figment1990 - that is exciting! We love Narcoossee's and try to eat there every trip. We've recently become Citricos fans, it is a different experience, but both are very nice. I'd have a hard time choosing, lol.

I would say that I'd probably stick with Narcoossee's, since you are booked during Wishes. Pretty hard to beat that view! Citricos tends to be quieter though, so if a romantic atmosphere is what you are looking for, you may want to switch.

Good luck with your decision, I don't think you can make a bad choice!

candy1 - definitely email or call IPO again, they should have responded by now. Did you get the automatic response that states something like "we have received your message, IPO will respond ASAP"? If not, your message probably got lost in the ether.

Did you get the immediate confirmation email back from them that is an automated response which states they will answer your questions and get back to you with 48 hours/2 days? If you didn't receive this "instant" automated response then they didn't receive your email.

I have emailed them numerous times -- so much so that I'm sure they will be happy when our vacation is over -- and they have always responded promptly to me usually within the same day and even on weekends/holidays.

V&A is great and it is especially nice to be able to stroll there from a room at the GF.

You will although the first floor rooms have balconies that are just a few inches off the ground. The dormer rooms have enclosed
balconies.


johnsonet, thanks. I am lucky. However, no V&A this trip. We are having dinner at Narcoossee's and Citricos. And after this trip, we won't be there for months. We avoid WDW in the summer being the heat wimps that we are.

BCV23 - Thanks, we are looking forward to it! Too bad you won't be eating at V&A's next trip, I don't think we will be either. It's a tough choice, as we try to go when it's just the two of us - if we take a friend, they often aren't interested in such a long dinner, or the unfamiliar food choices.

ugh- they already screwed up my ADR's- booked me for three ADR's for June when I asked for August! YIKES! I even double checked to make sure I didn't put June- nope- August!

They got everything straighted out with my ADR's! YAY!
Still debating whether or not we want to go to CRT. The kids really want to go to 1900 Park Fare to see the Stepsisters, not sure we want to do both.
What do you guys think? It's not like we're going back anytime soon- so I'm thinking maybe we should just go for it!
Also- how does that work with the credit card deposit and the Dining plan? What if I want to use my 2 TS credits???

MagicPrincess - there's a thread on the Restaurants forum that gives details for CRT. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1626928

Here's what they have to say regarding the deposit:

This is now pre-paid, unless you are on the Disney dining plan; in the case of the dining plan, they take the CC number to keep it on file for fees in case you don't show up and do not cancel your ADR.

Thanks! I called and booked our ADR today- must have asked them 5 times, "Now, you won't charge my cc right?" LOL...
I'm so excited I have all my ADR's taken care of!!!
YAY!!!

You could just ask for a room with a daybed. I think since the renovation, most of them have one anyway (including the dormers).

oh, I thought that I read somewhere that the dormer rooms do not include a daybed?
hmmmmm....
