Prom

So prom is in a few months. I know I can't be the only one already planning for it. I'm homeschooled as many know, but this is Garrett's prom.. and since it's my home town and I grew up with these people.. it's my prom too I suppose!

I finally picked out my dress. (Sorry Sonya, it's not zebra). I just really can't pull off animal print at all. lol. It's from Macy's.

I personally, think it's beautiful! I might need to do a little tanning since it's black!

Anyways, prom is on May 8th. When is yours? And what's your plans before and after?

I think we're going to eat before at Chili's maybe.. or possibly a local cajun food place! Then prom, then if someone has an after party that we'd want to go too. Who knows really.

My prom is April 17th. I am VERY excited.
Last year I went as a sophomore(senior boyfriend)
&& I had a BLAST! We went with his friends in a limo,
and out to dinner, and took a ton of pictures.
This year I don't know what we're doing..I'm trying
to plan something with a few friends. We'll see how
that goes I suppose. The dress I want is very hard to
explain so I won't even try. (;
But I absolutely cannot wait!!!

I think it's gorgeous too! I was going to get a Black prom dress this year BUT I've already had 4 Black Dresses for School Formals in the past years so my mom BEGGED me to stay away from Black! I can't help it, It's just so flattering and elegant!

So this is my dress, but the picture really doesn't look good.. but I didn't like the dress when I saw a picture of it but when I tired it on.. i was in love

I love Short dresses! I always tell my mom "The only time you'll see me in a long dress is my Wedding day"

I hate prom plans.. all I care about is looking good and Dancing.. but I really could care less about before or after plans.. lol its sooo stressful!

I wanted a short one too, but I couldn't find any that I really liked.

I definitely wanted a Sherri Hill one, but my mom told me to wait till my senior year to get an expensive dress. That was one I looked at though I loved!

And one of our friend's dad is renting us a limo for the night too

awwww have so much fun girls!! prom was one of the best nights of my life!! dress shopping was so much fun! the whole thing, hair, makeup etc just is such an exciting night!!

my HS (and pretty much every canadian HS that i'm aware of) only does senior proms so we get pretty decked out, since we only have the one.

everyone at my HS (all the 'cool kids' at least lol) went to this park in our town to take pics before prom,
my friends and i got a limo, and we spent the weekend at the beach after

Well no! lol My school has Senior/Junior Prom BUT normally Sophomores go because they can get asked by a Senior or Junior.

Freshmen can go too, but they can only get asked by a Senior so its a lot tougher.

I lost my date...she told me in the beginning of the year that she would go with me and then she said yes to some other kid. So now Im thinking of asking some other girl the only problem is my friends dont want anybody but Seniors in our bus. So they are trying to force me to go with another girl and I hate my situation.

That's how Garrett's school is.. It's a Junior/Senior prom. The juniors put it on for the seniors.. kinda like a going away present. There's usually only a couple sophmores that end up going and those are the ones that's been dating a junior or senior for a while.

And I loooooove that red dress!! lol I wanted red so bad. But didn't find one that caught my eye.

I don't intend to go to prom this year or next, but I have to say your dress is GORGEOUS.

He said the conversation went like this.

his mom - it's 105$ a person, so it'll 210 for Garrett and Kelsi.
his dad - so I still don't understand this prom thing, are we spliting it or...
his mom - MARK! no we are not spliting it. we're paying for it! Now hush!

and for that girl.. she's like a really sweet girl.. she just has done things and want to do thing with Garrett, soooooo... yeah she's not my favorite person in the world. But I'm not gonna ruin Garrett's prom night, or mine. Like you said, hopefully everyone will be caught up in the excitement and just forget about everything for several hours!
