Room 4028 is the one that has the two balconies - one facing toward the front of the resort and the other the first on the left facing the Beach Pool.....AND...now that i am looking at the pics...the EWP pics were taking from the MK boat dock....we were waiting to go back to the GF. Wow, thanks for all the great pictures Channing! Last night something was funky with my computer, and they all came up as little "x" boxes. They really make me want to go back...

Channing -your pictures are really getting me excited.

We'll definitely be renting a cabana in June. We always got one when we stayed at HRH and loved it. I think we'll get one for ds's birthday and for our non-park day.

Two trips to GF to look forward to. Hoping for run into you and your family during our summer visit!

We have reserved 3 rooms at the GF for my sons, their wives and our grandchildren, and us of course. We can only afford garden view standard rooms. Any advice which building and/or rooms are best? I sure would like us to have balconies and a decent view.

Hi RoseGrows, welcome to the GF FAQ!

I believe that nearly all of the GV rooms have patios or blaconies. Some of the CL rooms like the turret suites and some lodge tower rooms don't have balconies, but these are not considered GV.

There are no parking lot views at the GF. Some have reported having a view of the pool building rooftop from Big Pine Key, and there have been a few mentions of bad views from the back of Sago, but most GV rooms have lovely views. One of the lodge buildings (I believe Sago) also has a marina view which is classified as GV.

Whatever room you get will be nice. The buildings are all fairly close, and the resort is pretty compact so nothing is a terribly long walk.

Have a great trip!

A chronic lurker myself...

Page 3 of this thread, post #45 by Minniesota has a pretty comprehensive review of GV buildings you may want to check out.

Happy planning!
