I just went to the original cake thread to look at pictures and now I'm more confused than ever! My daughter will be turning 16 on our visit and I want a special cake for her. All the cakes looked great! Decisions, decisions...

We got back a couple of weeks ago and I FINALLY have cake pictures to contribute. We ordered the "Anniversary Cake" for our dinner at Citricos for my DIL's. It was fantastic and very yummy and they loved it. It was $55

Has anyone ordered a cake for friends/family/whoever while they were at Disney and you were not?? Were you able to pay up front for the cake over the phone? Did you have to call the day of the ressie to pay?? Did they actually get the cake?? I'd like to do something small for our friends who are going in a couple of weeks. They're going back with us in Dec so it's not a huge deal if I can't, but I'd really like to if I can. :goodvibes

I recently did this for a friend in September. I think I called about a week before and paid for it with my credit card. Yes they did get the cake. I saw pictures and it was beautiful.

TyRy: I love that cake. Haven´t ever seen a cake with embossed Donald´s before. My DH and DS would sooo love one of those. Do you know if I could order one of those at any of the other restaurants?

I love the Donald cake. I didnt know that was even possible. It is adorable.

Has anyone ever seen a Mr. Incredible cake of any kind? It would be at Cape May if possible. I would love to get a cake with him on it, any ideas???? :confused3

Can this cake only be order from Citrico's? I asked Y&BC if they could do the mickey stamp single tier cake, and they said no??? I'm having such a hard time trying to find something other than what I can get at any bakery for a reasonable price. Y&BC told me they can do a 8 or 10 inch cake with a choice of cake and filling, but just icing and flower decor. I wanted something alittle more out of the ordinary. They would charge $35 for the cake and charge me an extra $40 to put the mickey and minnie cake topper on it! (I have to provide the cake topper).

Any thoughts here, my DH and I are celebrating our 25th. TIA

Hey Guys!

I wonder if anyone can help me? Just called the cake order hotline for Magic Kingdom restaurants to see about booking for my son's birthday. We have an ADR for Crystal Palace and wanted to order a cake and have an image that i have put on the cake.

1st of all after asking here and told this wouldn't be a problem - I was told no I couldn't do this when I called

2nd of all I was told that an edible image would cost an extra $30, on the first page of this thread it says $8? Quite a difference

Thirdly I was told that there would be no designs added to the 8" cake only confetti or floral design

I am really confused as I thought that ordering an 8" cake with an edible image would be possible and it would cost approx $33? I would now have to order a 10" cake to get it custom designed and it would cost me in the region of $70? The lady really wasn't very helpful at all and as I am Scottish I think she was struggling to understand my accent as well!LOL

Any thoughts?

Thanks
xxx

I ordered a cake from CRT and that is what I was told too. It had to be a 10" cake to get a custom design on it. And it was $70 when done. Plus being served in a resteraunt it will be an 18% gratuity as well, so it will actually wind up around $90. I called the CRT # on the first page and talked to them directly.

that is a beautiful cake!

Anyone have any pictures of cakes they ordered from pop?

We ordered this from Pop in May. I brought the candle with from home. I am not sure of the cost since my TA arranged it for me (I had a HORRIBLE time getting someone from Pop to call me back) It was a white cake with vanilla frosting and it was really good. I had to go to the food court to pick it up.

HTH!

It's one of the GF speciality cakes, so I think it can only be ordered if dining at any of the GF restaurants. I had actually seen it either on this thread somewhere or a different one and they said they asked for the Donald heads and they were able to accomodate. I was so happy they were still doing that as it is DMIL favorite character.

They could have added a Mickey topper but that was something like $30 extra...I said I would take the plain cake and got lucky that they added the flowers.

That is so nice!!

What a great thread! We have been on our anniversary before, but never thought about a cake! We are going for our 14th in June, I must do this!!!:goodvibes

I know! Very sad since he´s my DH´s and DS´s favorite character.

And that's why I think this cake sticks out!
Yes...see, getting Mickey on a cake is no big deal...he's all over the park.

Seeing D-Duck all over this is truly eye-popping!
LEt's have another look:

Yeeahhh....that's what I'm talkin' about.

I know, I know. Mickey was the first of Walt's, but seriously, the best and most prolific 'toons by far & away are D-Duck! He's whacky, and funny!!
Daisy hotter than Minnie, and Huey, Dewey, & Louie?!?!? Oh man!

I won't even mention Scrooge McDuck!

Did you ask for the "anniversary cake" when you ordered? I am now thinking of doing one when I am there and was wondering how you went about ordering this. Was it through the cake hot line or did you call GF directly?

Again, that is so nice!! I bet that really made the night special!
