Apply to be on the Disney Mom Panel Sept. 8th

This is for me without a doubt! We are going in September, and will be there during the time they are accepting applications--hopefully this will qualify me as eligible since I technically will have visited within the year--I will just have to send in my application on the 19th from the world!!! I have been questioning for the last year why I didn't go for it last year. As for the travel dates, I think you just have to be available to travel those dates, not already have a trip planned--didn't they give a trip to all the final panelists last year?

If you are chosen, can you book then for those dates in Dec., or do you have to have it scheduled already? Also, do we have a definite on if your family can be with you during those dates?

I met one of the women from the Disney moms panel in WDW last weekend. She was in line behind me for ToT and she was wearing a "Disney Moms" visor, so I asked her if she was one of the lucky moms! She was so nice and told me that anyone could apply, even if they didn't have children. DH and I are (hopefully) starting our family this year, so I'm definately going to throw my hat in the ring!

Yes, it's an online application. The trip is paid for if you win a slot. You have to be AVAILBLE to travel those dates...not in Disney those dates. In fact, it would be worse to have a trip planned for those dates because you would have to leave your family and do the Disney Mom activities planned.

I really wanted to apply but I will be there on those dates having a 15 person extended family vacation from the 4-10 of December. I have definately been there in the last 12 months, by the end of this year, I will have spent 31 days at DisneyWorld this year. ugh ! If only they were different dates !! I guess I'll ahve to wait for next year to apply cuz I don't want to chance being picked and having to leave my family things since I am the planner and want to spend time with my family on our first extended family trip. I am being a "Disney Mom" for this trip.

I don't think so. But some DISers are on the current Mom's Panel...maybe they will eventually read this and chime in

I won't be applying this time. I made it through to round 2 last time, but I am ineligible this year because I haven't been to WDW since 1/07. Last November we did DL, and my upcoming WDW trip will be past the application deadline.

It's bittersweet for me, I won't be applying this year but it's for a good reason, I'm due Dec 6 with DS#2! So I'll either go into labor during the required WDW trip or have a newborn - either way it's not going to work, so I'll hold out until next year.

You can apply from the 8-19 of September and they are taking 20,000 applications.

You can begin the application at 10:00 am on the 8th.

If you do a google seach, you will be able to find the three essay topics. Last year they were 100 words each.
