Okay, this has been a long time coming..

Steph Happy belated birthday!

Minnie2 I'll be saying prayers for your fur baby. I'm glad he starting to feel better.

Tom I hope your mom is on the mend soon.

Tiffani I'm so sorry for the loss of your dad. I'll be keeping your family in my prayers.

Twob4him Thanks for posting your Princess Brooke customs, those were the ones I was thinking about slow. I don't know if I'm going to do Dutch Wonderland specific ones or not, I'm leaning toward something generic princess.

So happy The pictures of your sons are fabulous! Congrats for J on the loss of his first tooth.

Princessmommy29 I love your Cindy set, it's gorgeous.

Jessica I love your JoJo and Goliath. They are very cute.

Mytwotinks I hope Riley is feeling better. I'm so sorry that everyone is giving you such a run around while you're trying to help her feel better. I hope the folks at the Mayo Clinic are able to help you. I used to work for a professional doctors society and we dealt with a lot of docs at Mayo, they all seem very caring there.

LisaZoe That pirate Mickey is beyond words, I wish I could do applique like that! I love the peace shirt as well.

Phew, I've had a list of personals growing on 3 x 5 cards on my desk and just never get 10 minutes to sit and type in a row...

I've got to get some sewing done this week, I need to finish up my county fair entries by the 25th and I have to get everything ready for the consignment sale I sell at by the 27th. I actually volunteer at the sale as well so I'll be working the 28th and 30th, it gets me into the sale early before it gets picked over.

Here are my latest creations. I  this fabric. My girls were not being very cooperative models and we were late for church, so this is the best I've got. :sad2:

And here is the outfit I made for my nephew's baby. His wife and baby are in town (from out of state) so I made this for the baby. I am happy to report that my nephew's wife was so sweet and excited about the outfit and she said THANK YOU!!!! :yay: It made me happy. I guess he'll be getting more outfits!

Lisa Zoe - Love the Mickey shirt! You used the same shirt I used for Clay's. DH said that his walmart clearanced all of them yesterday to $1! They were all gone when he went looking to get me one today! ARGH!

Jeanne - The girls church outfits are adorable! I love the way you can make them coordinate! And the babies outfit is too cute! I was hoping for it modeled though so I could see a cute little one!

Teresa - Hmm, longing for baby? If my math skills are correct this would be about the time you start longing for one each time! LOL!

Love the scrapbook pages. I really need to make one sometime SOON! I have so many scraping items and never once made a page, NOPE, never once!

How soon until the next big give? I am getting itchy to make something!!!

Looks like Zoe and I might need to make a quick trip to our local store tonight. I was thinking about it anyway because I need dark brown thread and a few other colors. I think I've used more thread in the past 6 months than I did in the previous 6 years! LOL

Both of those turned out really cute! I love that fabric! Is that the ycmt roundneck pattern? what size do you use? My dd is almost 2 but i am not sure if the size 2 will fit her. Thanks:)

Yes it is the YCMT roundneck. It is my first time making it and it was pretty easy! My DD is almost 3 and I made her the size 3. Right now she can usually wear a size 2 or 3.

Someone posted a store bought yellow skort with a blue shirt done up as Snow White. Can anyone help me find that post or pictures?
Thanks

Those are GREAT! I agree that the fabric is fab. I wish I could get away with it for the boys.

I am still trying to convince Cooper that Lily is his girlfriend. J is very much in a "girls-ewww" phase, so Cooper is copying him. He always says "Lily is pretty, but she is NOT my girlfriend". He regularly tells me "I'm not your boyfriend" even though I have never once called him boyfriend!!

Silly boys!

I'm getting ready to do my first appliques, just Mickey head ying-yangs (I've got two teenagers so I'll take what I can get wrt matching trip shirts!). What kind of thread do most people use? Just regular poly?

I expect I'd be going through a lot of thread. How much thread would an adult-scale Mickey head outline take? Any guesses? I"d hate to run out mid-applique!

Thanks,
Karen

thread goes a LONG way! i have never used one whole spool of anything! Been appliquing for Dallas since before he was 2.

I just use regular sewing thread. I have a few Guttermann but mostly Coats and Clark. It's what I've used for years and it hasn't failed me.

Unless you're toward the end of a spool, I doubt you'll have to worry about running out.

Good luck with your first applique!!! I argee with the others, one spool is WAY more than enough thread! I am sure you probably already have, but you may want to check out the applique tutorial in the book marks. I started appliqueing pretty recently and I don't think I would have done nearly as well without it!

All of the outfits look great! I have that Alexander Henry Apples & Pears material waiting on me to do something with it. My MIL bought it for me and she made me promise to make myself a skirt out of it too for matching Mother/Daughter outfits. Let's hope I don't look too fruity with it. I have been trying to figure out what pattern to use and I love that roundneck dress! I may just have to do that pattern as well (if you don't mind) but Parker's won't have the brown/white polka dot, my MIL bought solid pink and yellow to coordinate with it.

BTW, what brand of shoes is Lily wearing? Are they pedipeds?

I have to talk to someone at mayon in the urology dept. and find out for sure if they will take her as a patient. I am hoping to hear from them on Monday. I am a little confused about what steps need to come first, but I will figure it out.

I am actually going to buy refills for my franklin planner today if Riley feels up to getting out. I haven't used it for a couple of years, but I feel a need to be really organized coming up! I have all of this medical stuff on sheets of paper sitting in a pile. Keeping everything straight is really overwhelming me right now.

I'm a really good organizer. If you need help in that area just let me know!

Thanks, I found it at Joanns. It sells out pretty quickly but they get more in every now and then.

I can't remember the brand but they are on clearance right now at sweetsoles.com for $10    I just bought her another pair for next summer I love them so much! They have red, orange, white, and black too. Unfortunately some colors are sold out in Lily's size range. Jayden has some black ones that fit her.

Hey, I'm first in that line!:rotfl:
