Stimulus Payment has anyone got their paper check in

It really seems so random and not according to their schedule. Who knows how they are distrubing them now.

We are 44 and 46. The tracker said it would be mailed on 5/16 and it arrived today.

I wonder if those with the higher numbers were those who "should have been" direct deposited but weren't for whatever reason.

these seem to be arriving much earlier than i first thought i am a 79 and was expecting them for july 4th.

No...no typo. DH is a 60.

The tracker stated it would be mailed by the 16th, got a letter on Monday that we'd receive it by the 16th. Either way, it was in todays mail and such a relief.

We are 41 and ours is not scheduled until June 13th it makes no sense to me that he is 60 scheduled after ours and you got yorus.. We were supposed to get direct deposited but because of Turbo Tax have to wait for a paper check. Anyways glad you got yours

I called the IRS to find out about our amended tax return which they have been processing now for 13 weeks and still nothing completed. So after I got done with that, I asked the guy about our stimulus refund and that we got a second letter stating we would have our check by the 16th of May. He proceeded to tell me that since we filed a amended return, we would have to wait until that was all done being processed and the rest of our money returned to us. I told him that was funny since I had called a week ago to find out the status and asked the same question and was told at that time our stimulus refund would not be held up and that our taxes were still filed so it would come as stated on the web site. I am convinced that the IRS is so screwed up and has no clue. It seems everytime you call there you are told something else. All I know is when they want money from you, you better pay it or the charge you a high interest, but why is it we can't get our money from them. So anyone who filed a amended return, you will be waiting for your stimulus until your amended taxes have be processed.

Wohooo: Recieved ours yesterday in the mail. It was supposed to be her (or was that sent out) by May 16. So it was only a couple of days late. We are SS 02.

Yippee! We got our paper check today. I was originally expecting it to be deposited on the 9th, according to the original schedule, but since we filed an amended return we had to wait for a paper check. Our SS is 65.

We're an 82...not looking for mine anytime soon but we've not gotten a second letter yet either. Sure would like to have it prior to July though...wouldn't that be nice We had our refund DD but since we had our 150.00 filing fee taken from our refund we were shoved in to that paper check category.

I filed an amended return in February but my regular return was efiled by January 31st.

We did turbo tax and got our direct deposited. . . the way that you would end up getting a paper check with turbo tax was if you had them deduct the fee for e-filing from your refund rather than paying it outright (like with a CC/Debit card).

Yep that's what we did I just can't understand how people who got paper checks and have social security numbers higher than my husband are getting theirs.

We filed with Turbo Tax on January 22nd. No amendment.

called today as we filed via paper- Im told our check is scheduled to be mailed out on 6/20/08. dh's lat two digits are 61

It could be something to do with the old system/new system thing too. They updated systems during the tax filing season and some how if you're in the new system it's so much faster that people are getting their direct deposits and checks much much sooner. They can't tell you if you're in the new or old system though....from what I've heard?

Hey everyone. No Check today either and I want to because my eletric bill extension is today and has to be paid by 5 p.m. or they will disconnected. I thought the 21 was a Thrusday which would have been fine because DH will get paid on Thrusday no it today good ole Wed. I try calling and see if maybe they could give me til tomorrow at 4:30 p.m. one more little day and the said no,no,no,no. I don't know what to do. Just was hope for devinie intervention and the check be here today, but no luck.

Angela I hope it works out for you. So many people are in the same boat. Too many bills and not enough money. Gas prices soaring making grocery bills skyrocket and families all across the country are beginning to suffer. My heart goes out to you.
