~AP Rates for May 26-August 2 are OUT!!!~ Posts results here!

I have a AAA room only discount set up for our vacation to POR from Aug 2 thru 12th. But the AP rate is better for the 2nd. If I call reservations, can they change the rate on the 2nd to an AP rate and leave the rest as a AAA rate under the same reservation? Here's hoping they release some codes for the rest of August.

Thanks! Jackie...

Hi everyone --

I had Beach Club, standard view, booked with a AAA rate for June 8-12 (4 nights) . . . total price including tax was $1498.48. I called for the AP rate and my new price for the same room and resort is $1233.00. I am very pleased!

Good luck to everyone trying to get the rate they would like!

I believe that it is on a night by night basis, so you should be able to change that first night to an AP rate and leave the rest on AAA until you get the rate for the rest of August . . .

Ok, I called to see what was available for our travel dates, June 24-July 1 and the only places they said were available were FW cabins and SS 2bd villa. We are traveling with a couple and could all stay in the villa together instead of two rooms at WL. So the question is . . .do I stick with WL or go to SS? The difference comes down between boat to MK or kitchen at SS for us because the price is almost the same once I buy an AP. Can anyone help me?????

June 28- July 4, BC 1849.50

308.25 a night is 108.00 less than rack rate. :cool1:

Paid for my AP

I just called and would have to split the reservation if I wanted the AP rate for 1 night and the AAA for the rest. I think I should wait to see if the AP codes come out for the rest of the month before I decide to split up this reservation.

woo hoo!! I had a reservation for July 24-July 29th (5 nights ) AAA rate at POFQ for $917, I called today and with my AP my new reservation (with tax) is $810. I saved $117, well worth it!

I did this with my reservation... My original reservation was a AAA rate. I called this morning and they only had the AP rate for my first 3 nights. I wanted to get the better rate even if for only part of my stay.

So I now have 2 reservations, but they are "continuous" so I shouldn't have to do anything as far as checking out/checking in a second time or switching rooms.

The CM who helped me this morning said there shouldn't be any problem, but I am to remind the CM at check-in about the 2 reservations.

He also said to try back to see if I can get the AP rate for the rest of my stay. He said people cancel, things change, and it's possible they'll become available. I'm not counting on that happening (I actually highly doubt it will) but I'll still call now and then to see.

I tried for Poly for the last 4 days of our trip July 23 - 27 (already have a AAA trate of $325 per night) but nothing available. Doesn't seem like a big difference anyway. :confused3 We are on a convention rate the first 9 nights, but they run out on July 23... Good luck to everyone!!!

I polsted this in the July Code thread, but thought I'd repost here as it pertains to the new AP code:

I just called and was quoted $1803.34 for a 7 night, standard view, stay at the Boardwalk Inn. Right now we have a 7 night stay booked at the Boardwalk Villas for $2047.50 (a AAA discount rate of 20%) and I was told there were no AP discount rates available there. Since the annual pass is $204 more than a 7 day park hopper, that would only give me a savings of about $39 off what I've got now with my AAA rate. My first rough calculation tells me it's a discount rate of 30%, which is pretty good, of course. But if you have yet to purchase the AP, as in my case, it's a bit of a wash. And we were counting on the microwave in the room which we'd lose if we moved to the Inn. Oh well, I guess we'll pass and stay with our AAA rate.

Is everyone else calculating a 30% discount rate for other resorts?

Edit: I called again and was quoted the same rate for 7 nights at the Beach Club and Boardwalk Inn. Still nothing for the Boardwalk Villas, but I had a very helpful CM who said I should keep calling back - something might open up there, she said.

Not sure of all the details because my agent was not very friendly, but here are my details.

We must have got the same lady. She kept trying to tell me AP rates weren't even out yet. :confused3 I about hung up, but I am using a company phone and didn't want to incur more long distance.

We are at BWV on our DVC for our 1st six nights and I was able to get the last three nights at Pop for $94.; saved me about $30. over my AAA rate. My son is dying to stay at Pop, but I saw the great rate for AKL and am tempted to try for it. :cutie:

Since I am arriving May 24th, the rates won't work if I don't want to change resorts. The CM also told me there are no AP rates for the Values....with this promotion.

I received an AP rate of $94 at ASMu for the night of May 30th (Friday night). Not sure about other dates, we are there just the last night of our trip after our stay at BCV.

O.K. I only needed 2 nights in the middle of 2 DVC stays. I had AsMo preferred AAA rate ....when I heard AP's were out I changed to CB only paying $134 more...as I read and thought then thought and read I called to see about FW cabins ( oh yeah we need 2 rooms because we are a family of 6) anyhow I got the cabin for $192 less then the moderate and $55 less then what I was paying with AAA for two preferred rooms at AsMo!!!! So we get to try something new this trip AND save $$$$$!!!! I did ask the CM if this was my "Dream":rotfl:

Anyone tried w/ a mod resort yet? We are currently booked 24-31 at POR w/ the AAA discount--I'm wondering if the AP discount would be a better option...

What is you AAA rate?

I just called on my daughter's ressie. She has POFQ for May 24 thru May 31. I got AAA for the 24th and 25th and then another resssie for the 26th thru 31st. The ressies are continuing. We have done this in the past with no problems. The totals are AAA-$414 and AP $810. Saved about $200 total. e?

Go with the 2 bedroom! After having the kitchen, washer & dryer, you will never want to go back to a regular room.

Question...to get the AP rate, does only one person in the party need to have an AP?

Nabbed WL Courtyard at $179/night from 7/23 for 7 nights.

Value season starts on 7/20 at the deluxe resorts. Keep that in mind if your trip is planned around that time because the rate drops nicely.

I can't seem to get any luck!! There is nothing available at WL, AKL, CR, or POFQ while I am there - June 7-14. Should I just keep calling? There was the FW cabins for $1,668.66 for 4 adults and 2 children. Not sure it's worth it though.

I got POP for $94. We thought about upgrading to a moderate but decided to stay with the value and SAVE some $$$ We have two rooms (party of 7) and saved just over $128 per room for the 15 nights we will be there (two reservations). I am excited and I get to use the DDE card in the food court YAH!:cheer2:

Got WL Woods view 199/night Jun 3 - Jun 8

big improvement over Standard view at 275/night
