I polsted this in the July Code thread, but thought I'd repost here as it pertains to the new AP code:
I just called and was quoted $1803.34 for a 7 night, standard view, stay at the Boardwalk Inn. Right now we have a 7 night stay booked at the Boardwalk Villas for $2047.50 (a AAA discount rate of 20%) and I was told there were no AP discount rates available there. Since the annual pass is $204 more than a 7 day park hopper, that would only give me a savings of about $39 off what I've got now with my AAA rate. My first rough calculation tells me it's a discount rate of 30%, which is pretty good, of course. But if you have yet to purchase the AP, as in my case, it's a bit of a wash. And we were counting on the microwave in the room which we'd lose if we moved to the Inn. Oh well, I guess we'll pass and stay with our AAA rate.
Is everyone else calculating a 30% discount rate for other resorts?
Edit: I called again and was quoted the same rate for 7 nights at the Beach Club and Boardwalk Inn. Still nothing for the Boardwalk Villas, but I had a very helpful CM who said I should keep calling back - something might open up there, she said.
