oh a lost cell phone....i've done that though, where i think it's in the diaper bag, and really i packed it away in the luggage. i really hope that's what happened.

i'm afraid to hear what sissy said. sounds like she just needs to get home to her mommy ----- NOT that i am excusing any kind of smart mouth, rude or ungrateful attitude. please don't think i am!! you KNOW i think you RULE!!! (i think i've said it a lot of times on this trip report!)

Oh the joy's of teenage girls! I'm not one bit suprised she expected the bus to turn around, afterall the world does revove around her! I can't wait to hear what she says!

I'm with everyone too, Scott, you're a good cousin!

That just made me cluck my tongue and say, "Oh!!" when you couldn't check in like you'd wanted to. I hate it when stuff like that happens.

Once - our HUGE bags were pulled by security while we were waiting to check in. This over zealous security agent went through all of our things, holding up the line for 20 minutes or more. I know it's their procedure, but I had everything so neatly packed and she completely undid it and couldn't get it all packed in again. When I asked if I could help her, she got a little snotty with me about it. Well, she'd already gone through it and knew there was nothing bad in there! Why couldn't I re-pack it!

Security-I know it's necessary, but it can be a real pain!

Can't wait for more!

Heading back to the airport. I think that is really one of the saddest times, driving off WDW property. El sucko. I can even feel it now. Wondering what happens from here. And you only have 9 pages left so hurry it up!

When I took my cousin to WDW, there were no big problems. It was in May and it was very hot and the heat zapped our energy a bit and she was ready to leave the parks at around 3pm. Unfortunately, we were staying offsite and never got back for the evenings.
I had really wanted to see Fantasmic. Oh well, hopefully next time.

Also, she didn't really show much excitement. Until she saw some ducks. Just plain old ducks walking around the Magic Kingdom, she went crazy, "look at the ducks!".
Me- Uh, yeah, we have those at home.
Here we are in front of the castle, we had just seen a bunch of characters in a show and she was freaking out over seeing ducks! I was a bit let down that she wasn't more excited over the characters and rides. And what did she say to her parents when she talked to them, "you should see the ducks!"

I don't get it, but she did have a good time. She was up for doing all the rides, loved RNRC and TOT(and so did I) and didn't give me any problems at all.
I can't imagine taking 3 children that weren't mine though. You were very brave.

Can't wait to hear the rest of the report.

Oh, and I am so jealous about you seeing Xanadu. I knew I liked you when you said that you were going to see it. I loved that movie when I was a kid, saw it as an adult and realized how goofy it was but I just LOVE the music. I had the record and I have the vhs tape of it. I put the movie in one day and just sang through the whole thing. Good thing there was nobody else home. I don't sing so good!

Yay! We love Illuminations too!! My daughter did her CP at Epcot - she was (and still is every few months or so) a Friendship Boat captain - so she has seem Illuminations way more times than she could ever count! Whenever I watch with her now she can tell me exactly what's coming next down to the color of the fireworks! She even does this when we're listening to the CD in the car
Scott, I've been a lurker up 'til now but wanted to tell you how much I've enjoyed reading your TR and seeing your great pics I was late in finding this but now check every day for an update. Sorry to see it come to an end.

AHHH the missing cell phone. We have one of those at my house right now and the 12 year old thinks it is somewhere in his room but he has not seen it for a while. I checked the bill online and last use 2-1-08 Think maybe someone should have told mom!!!!

Yikes... a missing cell phone. I can only guess that this does not go over well.

it was never brought up again which could be the reason for the attitude about to come.

I am always so paranoid about leaving my cell phone (or charger) somewhere when I travel. I think the first steps I take on travel day: cell phone in purse/charger in carryon.

Not too bad a cousin (Yes, I'm oing backwards). I have lost track of my kid mny ties. hey are "bolters". I really got to the point that I don't go ANYWHERE alone with them any more. People act like I am a bad mother because I have active kids who think it's funny to run away from me, nd YANK their hands out of mine. My DS even figured out how to get out of a leash.....so I reiterate...NOT bad cousin.

the one good thing with them was they always went. we did take a few swim breaks but we always went back to a park.
Jake loved the ducks.
3 was interesting.
Xanadu was alot of fun. I have the dvd and the soundtrack is on my Ipod. I don't sing to well either.

Really enjoyed your report, Scott! We've never been to "Beaches & Cream" and we stay at the Dolphin, so I have just added a stop to our June trip!

Ok so we got off the bus and proceeded to the Delta desk. That was quick and painless.

We brought the bags to the screeners and then we went to the bathroom.

Now we head to security and get in the long line. They divide up the line and I am like "oh good". We get up front and "BAM"!!!! "Excuse me sir, but you and your party have to go over to the special screening area."

Do you see how mad I was.

We go over, we go through. They pat Jake down, then Me. I walk over to the belt waiting for them to finish up with the bags when someone says "dad". I don't pay attention. Then I hear it again and turn, they need me over there to pat down the girls. Fine let's go please.
After all of out pat downs we wait for our bags.

this took forever. Finally we are done. They seemed to be pulling alot of people over to do this.

We get through and then we go and find a seat after of course our monorail ride.

So we are sitting around and Tiny says she is upset to go home but after 10 days she is ready,
Jake said he could stay forever. gotta love Jake.
Sissy "well I was ready to go home on day 2."

that is what I looked like.

I looked at her and said "are you kidding me". She said "no". Then I proceeded to say that she was the most ungrateful child I have ever met, I asked if she thought this trip was just a given for her Then I told her "next time she is away with someone to say something because I would have gladly have put you on a plane on that second day". She said "I could not fly by myself" to which I said "yes you could and I wish you said something, you would have been home 9 days ago".
I was so MAD, if I could have strangled her I would have. Then she became all full of attitude.
Jake said he had a great time and would not have changed anything.

Then we get on the plane and fly to Atlanta. We had a huge jet and separate seats. The girls took the two in the front, Jake and I went to the back.
I love the screens on here that show your flight in real time. Jake and I also played the trivia game.

We get to Atlanta with no problems and get off the plane and find a Wendy's. We ate and were happy.

Now we get to board for our flight for WV. I knew it was a small commuter plane. We are seated with Jake and I, then the girls behind us.

As we are sitting there (insert embarrassed face here) an Indian guy gets on the plane and is wearing a turban. Well Tiny spots him and all I hear is a big gasp out of her. I tell her to stop it. She still does a few more things and I tell her to stop being so ignorant and behave. I am at wit's end by now. She stops.

20 minutes into the flight I am informed that Tiny has

twice. Thank fully she had the bags there.
She was fine for the rest of the flight.
For the last 15 minutes of the flight the girls were laughing and laughing, Jake was getting annoyed and told them to stop. I finally told them to both stop.

We land and proceed to the car rental. Thank god the airport is so small. We get there and I am given a Town & Country. I had no idea what it was. Turns out it is a SUV or minivan. Very nice. I think more minivan. We could have used this to Columbus.

We are on our home. I look for my hotel for the night and cannot find it so I call and cancel. I then go to Motel 6 and check in there. Nice and cheap and yet very clean.

Then we go to my Uncles. My other cousin "T" is there, there Aunt and they did buy her anything so they proceed to give her everything I bought them. Then Tiny gives her the crown from BBB. I did not say a word I just wanted out of there.
Then there parents showed up and after 10 minutes they were gone. I stayed about 1/2 hour longer then I said I had to go and I did, I had to get up at 4:15am for my flight home. My Uncle asked how the kids were and I told him everything that happened. He said he was disappointed in Sissy.

I go to the motel and fall asleep. I get my wakeup call and take a shower then proceed to the airport. I am happy to report that from here on went flawlessly.

I was back home before noon and was dising 3 minutes after I said I would.

And that is the conclusion of our trip.

it wasn't overweight. it was 30 lbs. she brought it down the stairs on the wheels and it broke.
