As God is My Witness, I'll Never be Hungry Again - Finished w/lots of pics!!

Well, on our way to Goofy's we passed by Earl of Sandwich and although we must have walked by this place at least half a dozen times during the last couple of days we never really noticed their signage until we were...very tipsy. This produced the best laugh of the day:

If anyone here at the DIS has a review of Earl's Hot Roast Beef Smoothie I'd love to hear all about it. :lmao:

And that's how we ended the day...laughing ourselves silly outside the Earl of Sandwich. And you know...it still makes me laugh. It's funny when I'm sober, too! :teeth:

OMG!! I'm so glad someone else got a kick out of this. My dad pointed it out a few trips ago and it has been a joke in our family every time we head out to DTD now..."So are we finally gonna try those hot roast beef smoothies?" :lmao: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I know it is a little late, but I just came across this thread, and I have to admit... I read the whole thing in one sitting. My husband and I are also foodies/"drinkies". He thinks that I am a little obsessed with these boards so I will not mention to him that I read all 20 pages this morning while I "did the laundry." We also have a May anniversary(the 26th.) We love to take vacations to celebrate, unfortunately, the Caribbean weather Gods do not usually cooperate with us! I just wanted to tell you that I loved your report! Have a great trip in May!

Thank you Brenda for great and entertaining reviews. We had a nor'easter here yesterday and today and what a great way to spend the morning reading your thread. We are planning to dine our way around WDW in December and your reviews have been very helpful.

Linda,

Thanks :) Yeah, I've posted pics of her and links to even more pics of her :rolleyes1
What can I say I am a proud momma  I am just now starting her scrapbook and have posted a few layouts on the SB board. Progress is a little slow but it's there!!! ;)

We are going back to WDW and DCL in October (we are kidnapping Brenda's Plankton since her and Jason will no longer be joining us and I will be doing another live trippie, so watch for MANY photos of Kira then!! :rolleyes1

....and now back to your regularly scheduled programming....(sorry for the temporary hijacking Brenda!)

Cass, you can hijack as many of my threads as you want! I can't wait to read your trippie come October - I know it's going to be great! :goodvibes

Finally!!! Someone else notices the Hot Roast Beef Smoothie!! :lmao:
Jay says they should put it on the menu just to see if anyone would actually order it. And if it's not, he swears that when we go back in May that he's going to try to order one. :rotfl2:

Thanks for reading!

Thanks so much for the nice compliment! I hope by now you've been able to dig out. I hope to have some more food reviews after our trip in May, so look for a new thread, coming soon!! :thumbsup2

Wonderful! I told my husband this morning that we are going to the F&W festival w/out kids!

Thanks for great reading!

Thanks for great reading!

Thank you so much for the kind compliment - glad to know you enjoyed the Disney Digestive Process with us!

I do hope you have a chance to F&W without the kids sometime - it really is a totally different experience that way. If you get to go this October look for us between 10/15 - 10/25. We'll be the silly couple wearing empty, plastic champaign flutes on their heads. ;)

Thanks again for reading! :goodvibes

Thank you for this wonderful review! I started reading because of the brilliant Gone with the Wind title and kept reading because it was just so funny! I love your pics and can't wait to experience the Food & Wine fest myself in october.

Thanks for reading. Gone With the Wind has always been one of my favorite books and shortly before we left on the trip I watched the movie again for probably the 100th time. As soon as Scarlett said that I knew we had a title! :thumbsup2

You will love the F&W Festival, I'm sure of it! Have a lovely trip. :goodvibes

I loved you reviews. My family is going this coming October and it was a perfect peak into what I have to look forward to. Fortunately for me, my mom adores Disney/food/and drinks. :upsidedow

I came across your review a few days ago and had to call my daughter to tell her to read it.:lmao: I really got a kick out of your pictures and your comments. My husband came into the room and wanted to know who I was talking to and laughing. I'm looking forward to your trip review in October.

We're going Sept. 26th to Oct. 5. I've learned so much from these threads.

Brenda,

I loved your dining report! My grandmother was a grouchy old woman who rivals your mother in terms of attitude and compromise. So I'm feeling your pain. Your sense of humor is a riot!!!

I have a question regarding Tea at the GF. With the tea sandwiches, can you request to leave out certain sandwiches and get more of another?

Thanks!

Thanks so much for reading and sharing the food love with us! I'm flattered that you enjoyed it so much that you'd have your daughter read it, too! :goodvibes

I hope you enjoy your upcoming trip - how exciting that you'll be there during F&W!!! You will have a great time. :thumbsup2

Thank you so much - I'm glad you enjoyed reading our dining reviews.

As for tea, I have been told that if you don't like a certain type of sandwich or have an allergy just to let your server know and they can double up on a different type. For example, you don't like watercress but you do like egg salad - they should be able to switch it out for you.

Just ask when you place your order.

Thanks again for reading everyone!! :goodvibes

Just loved reading your TR:goodvibes We will be down June1-9 and I am already looking forward to a margarita from Mexico! Found that little gem our first trip with children 6 years ago. We ususally start at Canada so by Mexico I need a little love  as this is my son everywhere he goes :jumping3: Maybe we should start at Mexico.

Anyway, thanks so much for your fantastic story telling!

by the way....DH and I have a May anniversary too- 15 years May 30th. We will be packing for the world on our day. Enjoy yours!

I really enjoyed reading your report. Loved the pictures as well. DH & I are going to the F&W festival for the first time in October and I am really looking forward to it. Also I am on a really strict diet at the moment loosing weight with the trip as a mini goal, so remebering I can eat again in October has cheered me up. :rotfl: My husband thinks it's crazy, but he doesn't get that if it's food you can't lay your hands on it's ok....

Thanks so much!

Yes, I'm a late comer - my parents and I are going on our first WDW endeavor in September and we're making our ADRs this week/beginning of next week, so reading your reviews was beyond helpful - I'm going to be having them go through them as well this weekend!

and it was entertaining! you've inspired me to seek out the perfect vacation mascot ;)

Wow Brenda! This dining review has had a large following! I told you - you are a celeb and the ultimate foodie! Maybe one day I will write my trip report.

**Cues Dr. Nick: Hi everybody!!! :wave2:
