Places to order groceries from

Even in the "normal" mini fridge, when we first got to room, if it was turned off and we had groceries, I'd stash the food, then put in bags of ice (double bagged) for several hours for the fridge to catch up.

We've learned to always get into the room and check it out, including things like functioning of the fridge (and shower, sinks, TV, etc etc) before we bring any luggage and groceries up to the room (or have Bell Services bring them to the room). Has saved us several times when the fridge was off or there was something else wrong with the room that needed resolving.

I tried Walmart on my trip in March but could got get it work with my CC. So, I just went with Amazon Fresh. It was fine. There selection is not as good, but we only needed some basics like water, milk (for coffee) and snacks.

We managed to do Walmart back in October and it worked well. Seems they changed something since then and for our March trip we couldn’t use them. Their sms validation was not working with Canadian phone numbers so we went with instacart. The experience was much better but it was a bit more money. Don’t waste your time with Walmart USA is you live in Canada.

We have used Vacation Garden Grocer for previous trips, our upcoming trip in ten days we did the same. Good service and the communication is great with the order picker.

I'm wondering if anyone has tried checking out from Walmart.com with Paypal instead of a CC and had that work for them? I'm also worried we'll have problems now, since adding our US Dollar CC to the Walmart.com Wallet did not work - wouldn't accept the canadian addrerss.... We do have an Amazon Fresh Cart ready just in case.

Nope. Tried PayPal and cc many times. Stick with Amazon fresh and save yourself the frustration.

I was able to complete the transaction with PayPal using my Canadian credit card last week
Have a nice trip!

We have used Walmart a dozen times for deliveries in both Anaheim and Orlando. When entering my billing address, I used our Canadian address but then had to change it to state “California” or “Florida” and then just entered the zip code of the area. It has worked fine for the last few years we have been using Walmart. Com for grocery delivery. We use our RBC US visa if that helps.

Thanks to all who responded! As an update, Walmart. com did not work no matter what I did, even through PayPal (kept telling me an error occured). In the end we ordered through Amazon Fresh, and although it was a little more pricey and not as many common options available, the checkout and delivery process was a breeze.

Walmart. Great prices. Great selection. Used Garden Grocer before pandemic but now much more expensive and less selection from Walmart. The delivery fee from Walmart was $9.99 earlier this month when I ordered.

What address do you use? I tried entering in Boardwalk and it doesn’t enter a verified address. I also tried grand Floridian and had same issue. Is there some secret address to enter into the Walmart app?

I just checked my walmart account for the address I used for Boardwalk last May. Here it is:

2100 Epcot Resorts Blvd Disney's Boardwalk Inn and Villas, Lake Buena Vista, FL 32830

What is the process? Does Walmart just know to go to bell services. Or can I be there to accept it? Is it just handed over with your name to bell services and you call when you want it delivered?

We had alcohol so we had to be there when they delivered it. You can pick a one hour time slot that works for you for the delivery. Then you can track the driver too to see how far away they are and their estimated arrival time. I just went out to the entrance at Boardwalk ( like where bell services is) and waited for them to show up, then took the groceries back to our room. In the past at other resorts, bell services will just accept and hold the order as long as there is no cold food storage needed and no alcohol. It’s all pretty easy.

Twice we had them leave with bell services. There was a section to write delivery instructions so I wrote something like please leave with bell services. I also mentioned packing and marking the refrigerated items together for bell services to refrigerate. I didn't have any issues when I picked up with bell services. That was at OKW and SSR.

Awesome. We are Walmart members at home and have them deliver multiple times a week. Great to know it works the same!! So excited to try. I have been shopping upon arrival for a while now and I am tired of leaving the bubble.
