Undecided which to choose. OKW has close proximity to Disney Springs so for nightlife looks preferable but never stayed at YC and we LOVE the Yachtsman. Only going for 5 nights before moving on to Universal so time is precious

YC! The pool is our favorite and you also have the Boardwalk for night time entertainment. Its about a 5-7 min walk to Epcot via International Gateway and about a 20min walk or boat ride to HS.

Have stayed in both of these resorts & love them both.
Definitely closer to more things in the YC, Epcot, Boardwalk & HS.
Don't know what kind of room your thinking about at OKW but if you go for either a one or two bedroom villa you'll have way more space than in a room at the YC.
We are counting down to a two week stay at the YC in November & can't wait.

YC will most likely be better due to walking proximity to HS and EPCOT. As an 18yo there's really not going to be much of a 'nightlife' since most of that is +21 at Springs unless they're really into shopping or the NBA (NBA Experience).

Another vote for YC. I like that it's walking distance to Epcot ( can be a time saver ) and if you think you may want some pool time their pool is outstanding.

Thanks that is really helpful - We last stayed at OKW and visited DS a few times as a 16yo but just for restaurant experience
so I think we will prob opt for YC and visit one night by bus. Be good to experience a different hotel

If you are planning to also purchase park hoppers you can visit a morning park, return to YC for a swim and visit another park in the afternoon/evening. When you have park hoppers you have the entire World Showcase available each night for possible dining option; beside Epcot Resort options too. You can easily visit Epcot or DS in the evening show/fireworks...it depends on your plans and your style (i.e. commando to leisure).

Great points Mission Mouse. We do have unlimited access (for 14 days though never use them all) and in past stayed at POFQ and OKW so never really made use of midday pool chillaxing options but definately worth considering when in the proximity to the actual parks
