Well, we just stayed 2 nights at the new FW Cabins and left due to lack of sleep. We were in a cabin with a view of Peacock Pass. Be aware that the construction crews start driving workers back and forth at 5 AM or earlier! (First morning it was just before 5, second day it was 5:09 AM) They use very loud UTVs/ATVs and also forklifts EARLY in the morning. This continues ALL DAY. They make the Disney busses and guests golf carts seem silent. Of course the CMs apologize and the Manager says that they advise guests there is construction going on at the resort. But NO one said any changes would take place. IMHO you should avoid this resort until the construction is finished. That said, if you must stay here, do your homework and be sure to stay away from the main roads unless you like to be up very early. The cabins are awesome for small families. They do not have a tub, washer or dryer; but once the construction is done, I would highly recommend them.

I really don't get it, these are considered a deluxe resort (DVC) but if you want to do some laundry you have to shlub it to one of the laundry facilities.
To be fair, for 118 points ( May ), there are no properties that have a laundry in the unit.
Now I will agree that not having towel service at the pool is a real strike against the resort and it makes the laundry issue worse as nothing dries in Florida in the summer.

No towels for pick up at pool? I didn’t know that.

Do you mind sharing which loop you were in? We will be there for 4 nights at the end of the month.

2500. But look at the map. I believe the 2200 and 2800 are the only other loops open so far. Avoid staying near Peacock Pass if possible.

They are one bedroom units with a full kitchen, points really don't matter.

I guess the cabins identity as a Deluxe resort.🤣🤣🤣 Like I identity as a Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader!!!
What resorts are DVC at Disney World
Disney’s Animal Kingdom Villas
Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Disney’s Beach Club Villas
Disney’s BoardWalk Villas
Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
Copper Creek Villas and Cabins at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge
The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort
The Villas at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort
Disney’s Old Key West Resort
Disney’s Polynesian Villas and Bungalows
Disney’s Riviera Resort
Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort and Spa

It matters in the sense that they priced them points wise closer to a studio than one bedrooms.

So, in that sense, they are really a mix between the two units.
Especially when you are shopping 2 studios at CCV vs 1 cabin. I wish I was rich enough that 100 extra points did not matter.

Right, I meant that Disney was classifying them as Deluxe accommodations like the other DVC resorts. I know they are now DVC, instead of within the regular Disney hotel line up. I wasn't clear with that.

We are staying here now in cabin 2306. The pool towel thing took us by surprise and we ended up at the pool without towels and didn’t want to walk all the way back. It is understandable because I am sure a lot would end up leaving in peoples campers.

Two other noteworthy things is that the laundry by DVC cabins is closed!! So there isn’t even an option nearby and if you don’t have a golf cart you will need to take it by bus somewhere else. Second the closest pool is a quiet pool and there is no food, lifeguards or services. So you need to either bus or use a golf cart to get to a pool with amenities.

I do struggle with them being deluxe. Maybe if they provided the cart you could make a case that you have access to everything. But it will cost you $65 more a day to make the resort truly enjoyable.

They were classified as moderate before the DVC takeover and amenities didn't change, only the cabins themselves (and the fact that laundry is now free like at other DVC resorts).
But at least guests of the cabins have now access to extended evening hours (or whatever they're called). That is a good perk and only available to Deluxe resorts.
Opinions may differ if this is enough to make them Deluxe. And that's why many suspect Reflection will be added to the trust to give them access to the new (hopefully) pool complex and other amenities.
