Common Walt Disney World Wild Birds
People from all over the US and the world travel to Walt Disney Word and many are not familiar to the wild birds that they see and encounter in the parks and resorts. I read many trip reports with people describing, wondering or asking what that bird was. I have seen a few blogs and web sites on the matter but none seem to be able to be complete enough to answer all the questions. As a president of a local Audubon Chapter in NY, an avid Disney vacationer and DVC member I put together a page to help. Many of the pictures are from Walt Disney World. I hope you find this helpful and entertaining.

How cool! Thanks! We have often seen different birds and wondered what they were!

Thanks bochnikm - We are from the west coast. On our first WDW trip we were intrigued with all the species of birds we had never seen before. Thank you for your excellent post. We will reference it when we are in WDW this January.

The only bird you need to watch out for on that list is the crane. They can be very territorial and they aim those spear-like beaks at your eyes.

Thank you OP excellent information and I'm keeping it handy for reference. I've seen several of these birds and now know what I saw!!

Thank you OP!!!

I know most of these birds but have been wondering about a few we always see in the water when we take boat transportation from HS to Epcot.

This was an Awesome post!! :thumbsup2
