Going in August and have started planning.

Which of these restaurants should I make priority to book at 60 days

Hoop Dee Doo for 4pm
Space 220 for around 3
50's Prime time for around 3

Ohana for breakfast
Tusker House for breakfast
Garden Grill for breakfast or lunch. Is one better than the other?

Jiko and Sanaa both for dinner
BOMA for breakfast on our departure day

Also, should I book up close with the Rhinos before I book restaurants?

Space 220 and 'Ohana breakfast are going to be the hardest to get, IMO. The others shouldn't be too hard.
I did a search and read 5 articles discussing the most difficult and those 2 were discussed in all 5 articles I read.
Tusker House in 2. Garden Grill and HDDR each in 1

Agreed - Space 220 and 'Ohana. For Rhinos, it's an Enchanting Extra that's bookable at midnight EST when your window opens. Book it then, go to sleep, wake up for 6 am dining window.

Agreeing wholeheartedly with Space 220. Remember that if you aren't able to book, though, keep checking back. And you can always try day of, as well. We've had pretty decent luck with last minute reservations/walk up waitlist.

How quickly does the Space 220 Lounge book? Are we talking seconds or minutes?

It depends how far out you can book. If you are booking, say, 60 + 10 (in other words, you are booking 60 days out from the first day of your Disney vacation and you have a ten day or longer stay at a Disney hotel), you should be able to find a reservation toward the end of your vacation without much trouble. If you are booking at 60 days out with, say a two day Disney hotel stay or no Disney hotel stay, the reservations may already be taken by guests with longer vacations. But people also drop reservations, so one might show up - it's just a matter of timing and sometimes we've been lucky, most times not.

You can also wait, first come, first served, to be sat at the bar which has ten seats. You'll be on a tall bar stool (there is wheelchair accomodation at one end) and your back will be to the screens, but the bar has a mirror above it so you can still see the action. You can order either the lounge menu or the prix fixe menu. Waits can be anywhere from two hours to walk up in my experience, depends on availability and if you arrive at a time when they are turning over the seats.

I would try to book Space 220 Lounge if you have a party of 4 or less. The Lounge for sure will be difficult to book. I little less so if you book at the end of your trip.

Aren't 3 people considered the same as 4 with respect to booking tables? They don't add an extra chair onto a table for two, right?

Rhinos will be hard, we tried for a September trip, I was up at the stroke of midnight at my 60 day mark to book and nothing was available. We were staying for 14 days and I couldn't get anything even at the end of our stay. I looked for each day. I kept checking for cancelations and nothing (for 2 people). Be ready to go if it's a priority and good luck! And if you don't get all your dining right away, keep checking, stuff tends to pop up. I don't think O'hana for breakfast will be too difficult, I agree with the others, Space will probably be the hardest to book. Especially last minute since now the cancellation window for most restaurants is 2 hours. I think you'll be able to get just about all of your dining reservations, more so since it's August.

agreed. Also depends on what times you want. The “normal” lunch and dinner times book up sooner than the 4 pm meals. I use thrill data’s info to try to gauge demand. https://www.thrill-data.com/disney-dining/wdw

I would say popular restaurants have been much easier to book now than in past years.

Space 220 restaurant not too bad, lounge very difficult. ime I can usually book Space 220 lounge for 2 people if I do it first. Those seats will be gone quickly. I have never had success with 3 or 4 people for lounge.

You can also arrive 20 minutes before opening at the podium and try to get a bar seat. I think the bar seats around 10 people at a time, so if you are the 11th person in line you will have to wait for the seats to turn over. They may also have lounge or main seating availability from cancellations (at the podium).

HoopDeeDoo 6pm seating usually fills up first, then 4pm, and last, the 8:30pm. If you want Level 1 seating, that also fills up first, before 2 and 3. I would try for Space 220 then HDD.

I would say minutes. But like 5 minutes. And if you are trying to book day 1 or 2 of your trip, there might not even be any availability. Try to plan it for later in your trip.

Just so you know, check the week your going and while your on your trip. I cannot tell you how difficult it was finding reservations 60 days out for things we wanted, only to check 1-2 days before and almost any restaurant was available close to the times we wanted. Won't be every time, but it shocked us the amount of last minute cancellations for popular restaurants and times.

The last minute cancellations always KILL me, it makes it so difficult to plan accordingly when people clog up reservations. I started using Stakeout back in spring of 2022, and I have to say it has helped me get all of my hard to get reservations. I was able to get BBB a week out, several Topolinos for various trips, and O'hana. I like them. because they have a paid and not paid option. You do have to be quick, though!

Oh I agree, but point I was making was don't stress not getting your reservation you really wanted. Agree with other posters on Space 220 & Ohana. Hoop Dee Doo if you want a certain dining location.

Space220 will be the most difficult by far. You want to be online early at your 60 day mark and look at the days later in your trip. I've tried several times but have never even seen a lounge reservation. The restaurant side is doable if you're flexible with times.

Ohana breakfast would be the next priority, then Rhinos, the finally the rest. Everything else should be easily available at 60 days.
