I was thinking of doing a scrapbook. I guess I should have thought of this while I was there so I could have went to the store there to get supplies. I wanted to know though where I can get these things? Do normal stores like Michaels and other craft stores have Disney related papers? I found stuff on ebay but have a feeling it's drastically overpriced???

Can anyone tell me do they know if these are too much to pay?
Disney Album Starter Kit - $35
Capture the Magic Scrapbook Pages (40 pages various patterns)- $25

That's $60 + shipping just to get started not including any words, stickers, etc... I guess scrapbooking gets expensive?

I have found mostly stickers at our local Michael's and Hobby Lobby. If you have a speciality scrap book store where you live, check there. I have found cute papers at the one in my town. Also try www.mousememories.com . I've ordered from them before. Lots of cute stuff! HTH-Dana

I got a lot of great stuff for my scrapbook for last trip from scrapyourtrip.com. Someone on these boards turned me onto it-they have some great stickers and die cuts for WDW. :)

In MA, we have a chain store called AC Moore's (sorta like Michael's) that has a whole section of Disney scrapbooking stuff.

Yep we got an AC Moore near here. I'm going to go check some stuff out! Rather see what's in the store before blowing a ton of money on ebay since shipping gets expensive. Thanks!

Try creativememories.com -- you can search their inventory and there is a place there to find a rep in your area...as you may know, they have parties and "crops" where everyone gets together and works on their books. Believe me, they are more than happy to sell to you--surely with no commitment...just to get the supplies. They have realllyyyy good disney books and stickers (they have a premade set of book and stickers with page ideas!)...I've used creative memories for a long time and can't wait to do my disney book! If you can find one in your area, may save on shipping.
Some say creative memories is too expensive compared to michaels but I think the supplies are nicer...I go to Michaels for "extras".

ps...there's a scrapbook store at disney?!

We've got a store called JoAnns in North Carolina that carries Disney scrapbooking supplies. I went today and got some 12x12 papers and some stickers. (Planning ahead! :flower: ) You can visit Joann.com also.

YES! It is in dtd..I forget the name but I think scrapbooking is in the title??? It is a bit expensive but they have neat stuff.

Also...for those who are going to wdw....

We made these little stickers in epcot...it $5 a sheet...you get in a little photo booth take the pics and pick a background (minie & mickey on vacation etc) then it automatically prints ...they were cute to use in our scrapbook and on the postcards we sent as added personalization!!! :flower:

Thanks! I'll check out JoAnn's as well since it's closer :)
Thanks for the websites too.

Yes, it's in DTD - I think it was called simply "DIsney Scrapbooking". Walked right past it but didn't have time to go in....Plus I figured it is going to be expensive ;)

Don't forget about Dollar Tree, Big Lots , and the Dollar Store. I have found incredible bargains at those places especially the Dollar Store!

The two best companies that make Disney stuff are EK Success and Sandylion. Both companies just came out with a TON of cute new products. I order most of my Disney scrapbooking supplies on line, much cheaper than going through ebay! You still have shipping charges, but you can find alot more stuff at the on-line scrap stores than at JoAnn's, Michael's or AC Moore. Also check in your area to see if there are any scrapbook speciality stores.

My favorite sites to buy Disney scrapbook stuff
are: www.gonescrappin.com
www.luv2scrapbook.com
www.stickersgalore.com
www.mousememories.com

Go to any of these sites and do a Disney search and a ton of products will come up.

If I wanted a Walt Disney World Album that says Walt Disney World on the front, would I be able to get one from Disney?

My friend has ordered for me (we order together to split shipping) through mousememories.com - LOVE THEM! Most of the stuff from their site you can eventually find in local scrapbook stores, they just seem to have it first. I am religious about using the discount coupons at both Joann's and Michael's - they have Mickey, Princess, Winnie the Pooh albums at my store. Great deal with the coupons. The store at DTD has unique items that you will only find there. If you want an album that says Walt Disney World on it, you better buy it there or you will spend a bundle on ebay for it. My Joann's has paper sales all the time 5 for $1 and they have all the princess, pooh, mickey, minnie papers. Very cute! Can you tell that I am addicted to buying Disney scrapbooking supplies! I think I need to find a therapy group - hmm, maybe this is therapy!

PM me with any other questions!

Try archivers.com.
I love the store, but haven't tried to shop online with them yet. You can also sign up for scrapbooking emails.

::MickeyMo Believe it or not - Ebay! I've gotten some great deals from stickers to paper to scrapbooks! ::MinnieMo

Can anyone tell me the current price for a scrapbook starter kit? I'd like to buy the new Tinkerbell one with the castle on it, and I want to make sure I budget for it right -- DH gets to spend the same amount on monorail stuff for the Xmas tree!

My suggestions for you are.....

scrapyourtrip.com
mousememories.com

Visit a JoAnn Superstore
Downtown Disney
Disney gift shops

I don't normally use Disney stuff in my LOs I want to post last year's album but shutterfly is down...

well this is the link - hopefully it will work later LOL http://share.shutterfly.com/osi.jsp?i=EeBNWThmzYs2ES

anyway I just scrap like normal - fiber, tag, matching paper, easy peasy LOL

I do have a sweet pooh LOL with pooh - I have to take a digital picture of it. but that's highly unusual for me.

Here are two from 2003 - also no special disney stuff. It was a challenge to o a LO in the style of something else - and that's the LO from the cover of a Police album :rotfl:

I do however keep all my disney LOs together (till I run out of space and then I start a new book) - it's funny to see how my scrapping style has changed over the years

OK just for kicks I just took some digital pix of old LOs. I'll post them in a minute

LOL wow you can really see a difference here in my scrapping style LOL

Anyway I think they look way nicer without all the "stuff" - but that just my personal opinion! scrapping is all about whatever you like!!
