What was the worst surface you played on as a child?

I'm another one with an all-asphalt playground at school. I can remember the day I jumped off the swings, tripped, landed on the asphalt with my head, and ended up getting stitches. 65 years later, I still have the scar. And yet, the asphalt stayed.

The grass/dirt areas at the schools I went to were hard, compacted, concrete like dirt.

Maybe dirt? I dunno... when I was really young, there was a dirt pile in the back yard. I would play in it.
