I’m a 42yrs male. 5’10” and 245lbs. No major medical conditions and not on any medications. I have been adding supplements to my diet to help increase my lacking energy and joint/back stiffness. I am also looking to improve my diet & exercise, to get my weight down before I start to develop more serious issues. At 42 it’s now or never.

this is what I am currently taking From a vitamin and supplement standpoint

Multivitamin - Essential 1 (Procaps)
Fish Oil - Essential Omega 3 (Procaps) 1,210 mg
D3 (Nature Made) 25 mcg / 1000 iu
Magnesium (Doctor’s best) 400 mg
CBD Oil - full spectrum (Veritas Farms) 1,000 mg

I’ve been taking the multivitamin and fish oil for about a month now. I added the D3 and magnesium a week ago. I start the CBD hopefully today or Monday if the mail delivers on time.

I am also taking Metamucil 4in1 (fiber). This has been a god sent. I am far less bloated, I seem to have no more issues with indigestion/heartburn, I’m not waking up at night to urinate. And I am definitely getting the junk out of my system on a more regular basis. It is also helping with my Appetite and over eating which has been the biggest issue with my weight.

I need to Figure out a better schedule of taking the supplements along with the fiber, because I am reading that the fiber can impact the supplements from really getting through your system as good as it should. If you take them together, your system isn’t going to absorb the vitamins and supplements as well.

The improvements with how I feel are very noticeable just in the few weeks that I’ve been doing this. I have lost 6-7lbs already - I’m certainly not in need of buying new pants yet, but my belt definitely feels less tight.

yes, I do know and understand that diet and Exercise are really the most important. And I know not to be depending on the supplements alone.

what are you taking and what am I missing? I would like to improve my hair and skin health, as well as increase my semen production.

I'm in my mid 30's and about 155lbs.
I exercise daily and eat fruits and veggies but also have "not so good" things in moderation like soda, pizza, fried foods etc.
I drink at least 120oz of water daily.
This all started 5 years ago when I decided to lose weight. (Back then I was about 215lbs).

I have been taking a supplement called Ultimate Immunity religiously for 1 year now. Its not a multivitamin but it does have some vitamins in it as well as other things that are supposed to boost your immunity. Knock on wood I have not gotten at all sick since taking them. Granted since mid March last year I haven't been doing all the things I normally would but my sister had been taking it for a year prior to that and she recommended it as a school teacher who would get sick all the time but hadn't since she started taking it.

About a month ago I added in D3 and a vitamin B complex mostly because my bloodwork from a while ago had shown that several things were on the low end.

I will say that a week ago I suddenly noticed that I seem to be over the moon with good vibes but now I'm not sure if its related to the addition of the vitamins or a new birth control I'm on that I started about a week before I noticed the happier mood.
Either way its great!

  • A specific, high-dose Omega 3 in liquid form, targeted towards the treatment of extreme dry-eye. This was prescribed by my opthamologist. The side benefit is it also deals with my cholesterol issues without the use of statins;
  • A double-dose of an OTC multi formulated for post-menopausal women;
  • An immune-boost daily drink with high levels of C, D and zinc.

I take the following on a daily basis:

Vitamins C, D and E
Magnesium
B 12
Tumeric
Biotin
Fish oil for arthritis

Vitamin D only. I use D-Drops, 1000 mg per drop. Sometimes one drop a day, sometimes two.

Cider apple caps
Fish oil caps
flax seed oil caps
cinnamon caps
calcium
glucosamine with chondrotin
lose dose aspirin
multi vitamin
cranberry
psyllium husk

Calcium, D3, B12, multi ( tho I’m often lax) C and zinc if I’m feeling under the weather
Those are the OTC dailies

At my age and not being a milk drinker, I should be taking a more effective calcium supplement but I just can't get motivated to take one more thing. I hope whatever amount is in my multi will do the trick.

You are doing much better at taking care of yourself than I am! I pop a kid's chewable vitamin, take fish oil, iron, and b6 and b12 when I remember.

None on a regular basis, although my iron levels were low last checkup, so I try to take iron every other day. I will also try soon to start taking a multivitamin again.

We take - 49 year old male & 48 year old female- a plant based multi daily.
When we remember.

Calcium
Potassium
B-12
Vitamin D
Folic Acid
Multi
Vitamin C
Probiotic
