I don't mind getting up early in the morning but I do mind having to stay awake until the kids are sound asleep to put the gifts out:upsidedow It's almost 11, DD is trying to fall asleep and DS hasn't come home yet. I think once she gets into a deep sleep Santa will come. I can't wait for DS to get home because he no longer has a curfew and I'm not sure where he went after our family get-together so he'll get first glimpse of Christmas I guess. Our Christmas Eve tradition of opening new pajamas has been "broken" -- when it became clear that he hadn't headed home at the same time as us tonight I finally let DD open her new Kimono from Crabtree & Evelyn, her first grown-up loungewear;) She was expecting the same ole flannel pj pants and top and she was very happy with her first present of the holiday:thumbsup2

Happy Holidays Everyone!:santa:

After DGD gets to sleep - when and if that ever happens tonight..:scared:

She'll be up bouncing around like a mexican jumping bean at the crack of dawn no matter what time she falls asleep - and I'm the one she wakes up first (not mom or dad) so I can "check" to see if Santa has been here yet.. (Last year she woke me up at 4 a.m. :scared1: )

Right after the gifts are opened tomorrow, I'm taking a nap!!

He's come and gone. :santa:

This is the earliest he's gotten in and out of our house - ever. But the pile under the tree is a lot smaller, too. The girls got an early Christmas present of a weekend at WDW a few weeks ago, and DS got some expensive stuff, but not as much quantity.

Tonight is the longest it has ever taken Santa to get here...he hasn't been here yet and it's just after midnight! My 5yo fell asleep pretty quickly, but my 8yo is still laying in bed awake. I had to sneak out to get their bikes from my parent's house, and I'm glad I didn't wait until he was sleeping to do that. But, they are still sitting in the van right now, and I haven't been able to put anything else out yet, either. His room is right at the top of the stairs, and the living room (with the tree) is right at the bottom, so he could be down here in a flash, and I can't let him catch me. We think this might be his last year "believing", so I'm certainly not going to risk spoiling it!

DD is 18 and stays up a lot later than I do so Santa comes in the morning. Although, she heard me get up this morning and asked if we could do presents. Who'd have thought she'd be up at 5:30? :confused3 I told her she had to give me 5 minutes because Santa had left a mess in the living room. :rotfl:

Well, I'm not sure what time DS came home but he he was not happy in the morning that he had to see the Santa gifts the night before -- poor boy:rotfl2: Also wanted to know why I didn't leave his new sleepwear out for him to open when he got home:confused3 Are you kidding? Well, I can't complain -- it only took my three times of yelling "Santa's Been Here - Get Up!" for him to pull his lazy butt out of bed and open stockings with his little sister:laughing: very early.

Once my daughter falls asleep then I put everything out- I set my cell phone alarm in case I fall asleep with her so it will wake me up to get presents out! This year she finally fell asleep around 11 but by 2am she was up teling me to its time to open stockings- I yelled go back to bed, then at 3 am she was up again, this time I told her if she woke me up again before 6am I was giving all her presents away-she fell asleep and didn't get up until 7!

santa comes to my house around 11. this year, the new furniture layout must have confused him because im sure i heard him kick over a chair or two and accidently knock over the plate of cookies, sending them flying all over the living room. mrs. claus needs to get him a dang flash light!

He comes when the youngest kids are in bed. My son who is 14 obviously doenst believe anymore;) . So,he helped bring the wrapped gifts and Santa's gifts down to put around the tree.I think my youngest went to bed around 9:30:confused3 , not quite sure. We have a monitor in her room so we just listen to when the sounds stop and her snoring begins. It wasn't that long though because she has a cold and we gave her some Benadryl and that put her right to sleep;)
I think Santa and Mrs Claus were in bed by 10:15;)

santa didn't get to come to our house till after 12 my dd15 decided that at 11 was a good time to dye her hair :confused3 so i had to wait till she was done and in bed! geez i'd give it up already but I love the magic :goodvibes my parents never told me there wasn't a santa and as long as we said we believed we got santa presents :rotfl:

Santa only comes when you go to sleep!! Or at least that is what I tell my kiddos.;)
