What is your favorite Halloween decoration this year and did you put things out yet?

Mums full and blooming on the steps, Happy Fall!

Put the orange bannister lights out on timers yesterday & put out the whimsical Halloween tablecloth I found recently with playful ghost placemats, nothing scary just fun.

Found a few new plug in cute Jack-o-lanterns at Lowes, thank goodness someone is still making cute ones.

This year I am in love with a new find, this fun night light that reminds me of The Haunted Mansion!
It is supposed to go with fragrance but I just use it as a cute night light.

I like all my decorations....or I wouldn't have them.
I like the animal skeletons the best I guess. Inside is tamer.
Inside is decorated. Outside has to wait a couple of weeks because we are getting the front yard landscaped.

Inside is decorated. We don't do "scary" but more cute Halloween and fall. I just bought a new sign from Target - it's the black cat with a pumpkin! We got 2 black cats in January and this is their first Halloween - they were even born on October 13th! My spooky babies!

Yes, we’re decorated for fall. Right now, our decorations are a mix of Halloween-themed & seasonal fall. On November 1st, I’ll switch out the Halloween-themed decor for our Thanksgiving-themed decor.

I think my favorite Halloween decoration currently is our “Edgar Allan Poe”-themed fireplace mantel in our family room. I have a framed print that says “Quoth the Raven Nevermore“ along w/ 5 carved wooden black raven figurines mixed in w/ some fall floral sprigs & candles. A candy corn painted burlap banner hangs in front of the mantel.

2nd place is probably our “Haunted Mansion”-themed table in our foyer. I have a framed print that says ”Welcome, Foolish Mortals” along w/ 3 table-top replicas of the gravestones in front of the Haunted Mansion (one is Madame Leota’s) & a framed photo of our family in front of the Haunted Mansion during MNSSHP from about 10 years ago.

We only put out a skeleton, and that won't go out until two weeks or so before Halloween. We put out a carved pumpkin too, but that won't go out until Halloween day, otherwise it will mold.

Pumpkins are my favorite--I love to have them all over the porch and inside the house.

I need to get mums this week but it is over 80 degrees. I need it to be cool before I want to put them out. I have up some indoor decorations and will get some pumpkins for the porch.

Awww, sweet! When I was young I took in 3 stray black cats at 3 different Halloweens because I was super worried someone might hurt them, so plainly not superstitious about such things. They crossed my path and got oodles of love.

My fall stuff is already out, but the Halloween-specific things (at least the indoor ones) will likely go up this week. DS has off Thursday, so maybe I'll ask him to help me get the bin from the attic then.

My favorite thing is probably my pumpkin lights!

This is tough, because I have many that I love.
If I have to pick, it will be my kids artwork that I hang every year (I do the same at Thanksgiving and Christmas). Some of these are now 20yrs old.

I have portfolios of every single piece of artwork my kids made from preschool through kindergarten. I only put the Christmas stuff out because I get teased so much, but there is more, ohhhh so much more than macaroni ornaments. You have single handedly emboldened me to consider a full on review of all holiday decor the next time we get to the family home, thank you!
