I'm thinking of investing in one of those Glade PlugIns Scented Oil or a Febreze Noticables. (I say "invest" because they are close to $10 a piece :scared:) I smelled both of them today and liked both of them equally, but just wanted to make sure that they actually work before I shell out the cash. Has anyone tried either or both? Do they really permeate the air in the room they are in? :confused3

I use the Febreeze one (although, I can't find my favorite one, it was some sort of tropical concotion)

I have one in our entry way, which opens into the living room. The scent is def. there, but not over powering.

When I used one in the bathroom, it seemed like a little much for such a small space. Then again, I was using a strong scent, and I think some of the other ones they make aren't as crazy.

I use the ones from Bath and Body Works. I think they are called wall flowers. I stock up when they are on sale in June and January. There are many different scents.

Are they around the same price-wise? I couldn't see spending more than $10 on one of these. :sad2: Call me cheap, I don't know...

I'm a Yankee scent snob - their plug ins (called Electric Home Fragrancers) are $12.99 - but right now are buy one get one free, you can't beat that. Refills are 2 cartriges for $12.99.

I use the ones from BBW too, I usuallly stock up when they're $6. They're so cute too. I find that for the best fragrance I really like the oils at BBW. One oil burner can make the whole house smell good.

Make sure to unplug them when the oil is gone. Fire hazard.

I think I'm going to try a febreeze scents story. Anyone have one of those?

Fellow Yankee candle snob here. I love Yankee candle and have found that those are the best plug in air freshners. The scent last for a long time unlike the glade which smell for a couple of days and then nothing. It is a little pricy vs glade, but they work so much better.

I prefer the Yankee Candle ones as well. They seem to last the longest scent wise and I like the scents better. I have one of those combo ones and use the Home Sweet Home and Macintosh together. You can smell it through out the house and it's not too strong.

I had the Glade Lavender and Clean Laundry or Linen and it was gross. Way too strong!!!

The Glade ones work very well, even in large rooms; my personal favorite's the lavender. :)

I also like the Bath & Body Works ones, though they tend to work best in small rooms (like bathrooms). Huge fragrance variety is their chief benefit.

Another vote for wallflowers from Bath & Body works. I stock up on the refills when they go on sale.
my new favorite is Exotic Coconut. Yummy!

FeBreeze noticables are well....noticeable. I love them.

Dont like the BBW ones.

Glade plug-ins are crazy strong for awhile - obnoxiously so - and then POOF gone.

And I havent tried the YC ones.

I use the YC ones also, I love them! I have tried the Glade also and really didn't smell anything. I have not tried the Febreeze kind.

Well I use the Glade but now have tried th Febreeze and I love them.I use the clean linen and i forgot what comes with it.OMG it smells so good and so clean.

I love Yankee Candle. I use the clean cotton most of the time except during the holidays which I like Warm apple crisp.

I just bought my first yankee one... the oil seems to last longer than the glad fan's, smells NICE! but I LOVEEEEEEE the frebreze tropical ones!! Yum! I had such a hard time finding it! but I got 2 of them last week at walmart!

The fire inspector for my office made us unplug them (before they were done) and was ready to fine us if she came in and found them plugged in again. She said they are notorious for starting fires inside walls.

I used to use them...now I'm too afraid to.

Thanks to everyone for the great advice!!! Except for this post which has me thinking scared...

I'm probably going to go with the Febreze Noticables until I can get to a Yankee Candle... and I will be unplugging the thing when not in use. DF would make me anyways, he's always telling me they start fires, too.

Thanks!!!

Sorry, but better safe than sorry!
No, I know! It's just that I always figured my DF was telling me that because he didn't want to smell "apple cinnamon" all day long or something like that :rotfl: It's kind of scary to hear others say it!!! I guess it really makes sense though. :confused3
