What hotel brand reliably has 2 bedroom suites or just 2 separate sleep quarters?

Are there any brands that reliably have 2 bedroom suites throughout the US?

I am looking and when I do a search with google I keep getting faked out with 2 room suites but only one room has a bed, which is super annoying because it is not answering the question. Anyway, I figured if a chain exists someone on here would probably know about it.

When DH and I travel with our adult son, we prefer two separate sleeping spaces. We usually end up with one bedroom and a sleeper sofa in the living area. Some brands such as Residence Inn, Springhill Suites and Homewood Suites offer 2-bedroom or 1-bedroom suites with a sleeper sofa. Room types really depend on the location and the age of the hotel. The sleeper sofas are generally only built for one person. If you're looking to accommodate two couples, I would recommend looking for a true 2-bedroom with two actual beds. Many private-brand hotels have these kinds of suites, but they can get very pricey. In some cases, it's better to get two connecting rooms.

My family has stayed in true 2-bedroom suites at Residence Inns and “sofa bed with a door to the bedroom” suites in Fairfield Inn and Suites in multiple locations. You can search for rooms for 5 people, even if you don’t have that many, to weed out rooms with only 2 beds or with one bed and a sofa bed.

Brilliant, I will try the 5 people trick!

This is why I like timeshares. In Orlando we stay at the Marriott Cypress Harbour. The entire complex is 2 bedroom suites with a full kitchen. We are staying next month for $800 for the week. A great deal.

holiday inn/holiday inn express. i've found that if you call the hotel DIRECTLY you can frequently get this type of reservation under a easier and at better rate than through their websites/800 number. our asd son wants/needs his own space when we travel but wants the reassurance of being in a connected room so I call hotels directly and am able to get adjacent rooms with connecting doors.

I get it and have often considered it because most timeshares are so lovely but the yearly fees tend to be very high and that spooks me every time. How much did it cost if you add all the fees they charge for the year to the $800? It tens to jump when those fees are factored into the cost.

I’ve heard of people renting them off Redweek for low prices. Even at $200/nt a pretty good deal… when you find them.

Residence Inn by Marriott is the first one that came to mind. It's been a while since I stayed in one, but I remember renting a 2BR suite with another couple. We each had our own bedroom and full bath, it had a full kitchen and living area in the center (space dividing the two bedrooms), I believe there was a fireplace in that main area, and the sofa pulled out to sleep another two people.

We do the same with Bonnet Creek. We are here now, $800/wk.

I used to work at a Residence Inn years ago, and our 2 bedrooms were set up like you described.

Our property was set up with different buildings each with eight rooms and two of those being the two bedroom. I've seen some newer Residence Inns that look more like a regular hotel, so I don't know if they have the fireplaces -- maybe they're gas? Ours used to burn real logs.

I used to have a funny (imo) theory about the swankiness of a hotel correlating to its name’s scrabble score. Use at your own risk.

You are correct the ongoing maintenance fees are one of the biggest downsides of timeshares. We recently took over a MVC contract from my mother in law. It is at the Waiohai in Kauai. We will get 1 week a year there. I haven't been billed for the 2025 maintenance fees yet but I think they are around $2,800 per year. That is still a good deal for a 2 bedroom unit in Hawaii that has a nice sandy beach in front of the resort. You couldn't rent a 2 bedroom for a week there for that amount.

Being a Marriott Vacation Club owner gives you access to the getaway deals that allowed me to book for $800 a week in Orlando.

Then it is worth every dime! I have a cousin who loves Hawaii and it is a deal for her, in some locations it does not work out as well. I'm always on the fence. Last year I was looking at Disney and liked Saratoga more than I thought I would but when we wanted to drive through the Riviera I think it was, they turned us away at the gate... foolish because we got irked & changed our minds. Every time we are close they do something to put us off, and so it goes.

#1 rule about most timeshares is never buy direct from the developer. The TUG website is full of experts with good information.

Hmmm, I'll need to look. I really want to give. place a try before i would buy. It is a big investment to do without being certain.
