Before the big cooking day do you have any special meal the night before?

When the boys were home we usually ordered pizaz but now it's just DH and myself so I have no clue what we'll chomp on. Any ideas would be appreciated. ;)

We celebrate Thanksgiving with my wife's side of the family on Wednesday and then my side of the family on Thursday, so we will have a traditional Thanksgiving meal 2 days in a row. I think I'll be tired of turkey!

That will be us Thursday and then on Friday when my oldest DS and family comes over. Enjoy.

I'm off work, so my day is appointments I can't get done except on no school days. The morning is the yearly furnace check with the HVAC company and the afternoon is my mammogram.

We go to my parents house for Thanksgiving. I am bringing Sausage Balls and Broccoli Casserole, so I will mix those up sometime on Wednesday too.

We order pizza. We are usually busy doing prep work, like making stuffing and preparing the turkey to go in the oven the next morning, so there isn’t a lot of counter or stove space to prepare something homemade.

Take out. I am too busy cooking for the holiday to actually cook supper! Subway, Chinese or Thai food, Olive Garden... as long as I don't have to make it and clean up after, it's a possibility for the night before!

I do "more" for Christmas Eve, but we don't usually do a big Christmas dinner, so I have the time/space/energy to prep a Christmas Eve meal. I try to do something to commemorate Seven Fishes, usually something like a seafood chowder or baked seafood casserole. Back when my dad was alive, there'd be 7 distinctly different fish dishes. I am not sure why... we aren't Italian or Catholic. I think he just liked seafood, had a couple of very close friends who were Italian, and it seemed festive!

We go to a local family owned hamburger place every year - it’s tradition

Starting tomorrow, I make nothing that will have leftovers - I need all the room in my fridge for Thanksgiving 🦃

We do similar!

Not 100% sure what’s happening Wednesday for dinner…in days past it was pizza. My in-laws are coming into town but I’m not sure what time yet. Might do pizza take out or maybe pizza we make at home- if it’s just going to be us two maybe hoagies.

Not hosting this year so it’ll be a meal that’ll focus on something light to help balance the anticipated sensory overload. Bringing appetizers so maybe I’ll eat the extras.

Nothing special. We go to DH's Sister's home for Thanksgiving. So Wednesday will be played by ear. May eat at home or go to a local restaurant.

Thanksgiving Eve dinner is always a soup and salad bar set up. Easy, healthy and tasty. I usually put out a big charcuterie as well, with all kinds of fun snacks.
