What day for mk

We are going down fall break Oct 12-18th(I understand it will be busy- we have done Thanksgiving week at Disney and universal so we are ok w busy)
My two options I am considering for magic kingdom- do it Sunday our first day when there is not a party- historically the park is open late so we would rope drop do everything we can leave for the afternoon and head back to mk around 6pm. We would get to see the new nighttime parade.

Option 2- do mk on Thursday Oct 16 a party night. Most likely way less crowds but we have to be out by 6 so no nighttime parade. We are staying at Grand Floridian so it’s possible we could leave for a little while my only concern would be getting back in easily around the party crowd.

We are planning on doing the party Friday night so we will have time then to catch whatever rides we didn’t get on the other day.

Since you are doing the party Friday night and will enjoy the nighttime entertainment then, I would 100% choose the Thursday (party day) as my MK day. You will get more done in a shorter time on a party day than you will on a no-party day even though park is open longer.

Also, you are there the week before Thanksgiving so historically your crowds will be considerably lower than the following week.
