Whale watching in June

I could be wrong but I don't think you will se whales that far south in june.

I just wanted to echo what the others said, which is that in June, you're really missing whale season, which is late December through early April. Is there a remote possibility you'll see a whale of SOME type? Sure. But if your absolute goal is to see a whale, June isn't the time to do it. From your post, though, it sounds like you might be happy with just doing a boat trip and maybe seeing some dolphins or at least the ocean, so in that case, set the bar low, and enjoy a fun cruise :)

Living Social has Newport whale watching certicates on for the next few days for $15.
Or if you can go on a Tuesday try danawharf.com for 1/2 price tours.

I've read that June-September is blue whale migration season. We booked at Newport Landing Whale Watching, for the first week of July and were told we are going at the peak of the season!
