One advantage of the buses to MK is that, since they're Disney-run buses, they drop you off directly at the main gate vs. driving where you have to take a monorail or ferry boat from across the lagoon to get to the main gate.
One alternative with an Uber is to take it to the Contemporary and then walk from there to MK. Still not as close as bus to MK, but better than Uber to TTC.
We went early this month and while we walked to HS and EP most days at Swan, the first MK bus arrived at 7am for a 9am open, which we missed by 1 min., and the same driver came back at 7:40 (just 1 bus). By that time, we saw at least 5 AK buses for the 8am opening just before Labor Day. I've heard that MK buses were closer to arriving an hr before park opening starting the Tue. after Labor. We had a easier time grabbing an AK bus on our split stay at Pop too. We had good luck getting the 1st bus nearly every day, and not much bus related issues returning at night. Can't beat the Boardwalk area location; so convenient for walking to HS and EP.

I would not assume an Uber can drop you off at the Contemporary unless you have an ADR. There is a thread concerning this issue:

Had the same issue with my May 2021 Swan package booked through Disney. Hotel linked, but no tickets showed up. In my case, I didn't even have the FP Planning Cards. I called Disney, and the CM assured me that I had tickets, but they wouldn't show up in MDE (for whatever reason). She added the FP planning cards to my account, and that allowed me to make Park Pass reservations. Hoping that the CM is correct, and I do actually have tickets.
