Walmart grocery delivery won't deliver milk or bottles of water?

Is this a post-hurricane thing or normal policy? (For a Walmart+ grocery order to a WDW DVC villa later this week.) The Walmart+ grocery prices are great but not being able to buy milk or water is an issue...

Do they say they are sold out? Sometimes when they are sold out it won’t allow orders for delivery and you have to go to the store to see if they have it in stock. The water shelves at most stores were completely empty before Milton hit, and they could be rerouting inventory to the hardest hit areas.

I suppose milk could be in short supply due to the hurricane as well, but that wasn’t covered in the news like the water sales were.

It doesn’t say sold out…it doesn’t even bring up any items when I’m searching in delivery mode. It jumps to shelf-stable milk available to be shipped but nothing (fresh or otherwise) for grocery delivery. Items do appear to be available for pick-up at a nearby Walmart (not sure if it’s the same store they’re using for delivery.)

Totally understand if they need to direct inventory from the warehouses to harder hit areas.

We live in Orlando and I cannot add milk to my grocery order this week from Walmart. I think they must be in really low stock and cannot guarantee there will be some when your delivery is made.

Good to know...thanks for the intel. I'll check to see if I can add water and milk at the last minute. Walmart said I can edit my order until the morning of delivery.

We went to Publix in celebration on our arrival day, 10/12. As fast as they were stocking the shelves with cases of water, people were filling their carts Rest of store was fully stocked

If the only thing you can't add is milk, that usually is something you can get in the gift shop of DVC resorts. You could post on the thread for your resort over on the regular (not DVC) resorts board, and ask somebody to check the gift shop to see if they have the kind you need.

Water is a different story. The gift shops used to sell small packs (smaller than cases) but I don't think they have been lately. That's not related to the hurricane. Again, you could ask on the resort thread.

Related/unrelated as I can't speak for your specific issue. 2-3 days ago, Publix (via Instacart) had no bananas or water for delivery (specific water brand). But as of today, it's back in stock. So maybe keep checking?

Thanks for the tip — I’ll keep checking.

In one Publix they brought out a pallet of water, and customers loaded up all but 3 cases in under a minute.
