UO packages

Newbie here. If we book a package through UO, do we have to make monthly payments or can the remainder due be paid at check in? Also, would we be able to upgrade our tickets to an annual pass at the resort? Considering a package because we can add insurance that allows cancellation 24 hours prior to arrival.

A package is paid ahead of time.

Yes you can upgrade the tickets.

Cancellation insurance...if you went room-only you could probably work with them if you had an emergency, and even if they kept the one-might deposit it might be less than insurance. Tickets could be purchased later when you’re closer to the trip, and even if they expire the value you paid for them can still be put towards a ticket in the future.

We do room only reservations. We've had a few last minute emergencies- illness and a death in the family. We were able to postpone our vacation with no problem!

With room only your cancellation window is 3 days, but depending on the cancellation reason I’ve had them waive that as well.

Tickets only can be purchased right before you arrive if you’re worried about cancellation.

Honestly the packages are the more restrictive option.
