OK, so we will be at Universal for one day, on a Sat in mid-Sept. Hours are 8 to 6. We bought the Super Mario early access.
Cast of characters - 2 grandparents, who have volunteered to watch the 2 littles at play areas while the others ride the rest of the rides that the 2 littles cannot ride (one is an infant and one is almost 3 feet tall)
Half of the group has never been to this park before. The other were there 12 years ago.
Must do's are Super Mario, Harry Potter, Minion land and of course the tour.

Is this a decent plan?
Start with Super Mario - do the mini games and then ride the ride (can you ride it more than once? should you ride more than once? do you have to do mini games first?)
Grandparents and 2 littles go to Dino Play area while the others hit up Jurassic World and Transformers. Not sure about the Mummy, as 2 of that group will not be tall enough for it, so I don't know yet if they'll meet up with Grandparents and Littles while the others ride or what will happen.

Move onto Harry Potter.
At some point, depends on the time actually, mobile order 3 broomsticks for lunch.
Ride both of the Harry Potter rides either before or after lunch, depending on what time it is.
Then go to Minion Land and go on Despicable Me and Secret Life of Pets and Kung Fu Panda and Super Silly Funland

The do the big tour.
Then go back and shop in Harry Potter and do the wand thing if there's time.
Oh, and then the Simpsons.

If there was time/interest, back to Super Mario.
The 2 boys that are not tall enough for the Mummy are 5 and 7 and very into Mario.

What are your thoughts on this? Thank you in advance.

Be sure to go back to HP land at night...magical. Do the tram tour after your lower lot rides, and be sure to see the WaterWorld show! Great for all ages.

Oh I forgot about water world. Thank you. We can't go back to Harry potter at night. Park closes at 6 so I think it will still be light

Yes, the park is easily a one day park and if you have the early entry, you'll be fine. The biggest time sucks will be the Simpsons ride and probably Transformers because people who don't make it into the Super Mario part hang out in that area.

Don’t miss Studio Tour! It’s one of the best rides. Pay attention to the last tram ride time though. If the park closes at 6pm, last tram will be around 5pm.
