Months ago, when I was planning our trip to DL, I was told it is best to take Southwest Chief to Fullerton. So we bought our tickets and now we leave in 58 days! But we don't know how to get from the Fullerton Amtrak station to DISNEYLAND. I've tried to do some research, but isn't going well so far. If we call a cab (at 6:15 am), does anyone know how much that might be? Are there towncars like at WDW? I guess there is a closer station, but still too far for me to walk. We would have to transfer to Pacific Surfliner from Southwest Chief to get to a closer train station, then still need a cab or something. I have RA & will be traveling with a scooter. It breaks down into 5 smaller pieces. Thank you for any advice!

The cab ride would be in the neighborhood of $25. A closer station would be ANaheim (if the train goes there) and it is about $10.

Orange County Transportation Authority Route 43 or 543.

Picks you up at Fullerton Amtrak Station and drops you off under the Monorail beam on Harbor Boulevard next to the pedestrian entrance to the Resort.

$2.00 per person.

There will likely be cabs waiting at the Fullerton Amtrak station, and that's probably your best bet, particularly since you'll want to go straight to your hotel, whichever one it is. It's about a 4 mile drive straight down Harbor Blvd (vs about 3 miles on Katella from the Anaheim station). Large van-type taxis are available, and you might need that for your scooter. If the right cab isn't waiting the Yellow Cab # is 714-999-9999.

We do this all the time. It is super easy and on some routes Fullerton works much better than having to go all the way into LA and then taking train to Anaheim. There are usually cabs waiting at the Fullerton station when our Long Distance train comes in. If not, just call a cab and they'll come for you. Fare of $20-$25 is right. Super easy. What train are you coming in on? If it services Anaheim that is indeed closer and the station is right in the parking lot of the Stadium. The cab fare from Anaheim station to park is about $10.00 (OH! I see you are coming in on the SWC..that is what we do. Fullerton is great! Super easy! And when you go back for your return trip, the little cafe has some tasty items and a nice outdoor area to eat in).

We're coming in on the Southwest Chief #3 at 6:34am. We're staying at Grand Californian Villa 's. Thank you so much for all of the advice and tips!
