Transfer Magic band to new MDE account

I had my daughter's magic band and son in law's magic band in MDE account. She is older now and going to Disney on their own. She has her own MDE account. How do I transfer their Magic Bands to her account?

One point of clarification, I do not want to reassign a Magic Band to another person, but to the same person in a different MDE account.

I think you will have to call Disney because they will have to link her new account to being the same person as you have listed in your account

As above, you need to tell your MDE account that the person of that name in your F&F list is the same person who has an MDE account under that name.

Go to your daughter’s name in your MDE. Tap on her name and scroll down to Connect with This Guest, then tap Send Email and fill in the email address she used to create her MDE account. She will need to accept that, then her tickets and MBs and any other current plans you have will magically move to her MDE account.

Then go to your son in law’s name in your F&F list and tap on it. If he has his own MDE account the process will be the same. If your daughter will be managing his profile then you’ll be sending the email to her MDE account again and she’ll have to accept for him.

In either case, make sure that all of you give permission to plan for each other, to share plans, and to view each other’s photos.

Like @CarolynFH said, you should be able to do it through MDE, website and app, I think. Their magic bands, tickets, hotel reservations, and ADRs should automatically show up in their account. You may not be able to see their tickets anymore, but you should be able to see their plans. Be sure the option to share all plans is selected.

Reviving this with a similar, but somewhat new question.

Our daughter's best friend will be joining us for a part of our upcoming stay and we are going to be paying for her park passes.

She has an existing magic band that is associated with her mother's MDE account. Will we be able to simply buy her tickets and associate her magic band with the passes and our room or will she need to create her own MDE account and transfer the magic band to it.

If she’s in your F&F list, you should be able to link the ticket to her profile there, which will link it to her MB. Or you can give her mother the ticket number to link to her profile.

If she’s not already in your F&F list, you need to get her there - you’ll have to go through her mother’s MDE.
