Where can I find the best price to purchase an iphone 6 plus AND an iphone 7 plus to use with Total Wireless? (Assuming a 6 plus is substantially less than the 7 plus.) We pay $119 month currently and would be fine sharing the $60 Total Wireless plan.
I'm getting tired of Verizon's high prices but do like their coverage. I hear Total Wireless has the exact same coverage (uses Verizon's towers.) Unfortunately my Husband's iphone4s has stopped charging and my iphone 5s is apparently tied to Verizon. I need to sell mine and possibly sell (acknowledging the problem) or fix and sell his too, so any tips are appreciates with that too.
Thanks for the help!

tied as in on contract? Verizon phones dont need to be unlocked to work on other carriers. They are forced by law to keep all their phones unlocked.
Another carrier you can try out is PagePlus. Keep in mind though, Verizon will treat u like ur 2nd rated. they will prioritize their own users before you. If your okay with that, then switch!

Just checked with Total Wireless and was told my phone will work. (The automated way to check said it would not.) So that's good, my husband can use mine and I will get an iphone 7 plus because I really want to upgrade.
Does PagePlus use Verizon's network? There are areas we travel to frequently where we are only covered by Verizon. In what ways does Verizon treat Total Wireless customers 2nd rate?

If I buy an iPhone 7 plus, but want my phone number from the iPhone I currently use that my husband will start using, should I activate it with Verizon first ($30 charge) or can Total Wireless activate my new phone and switch the numbers? (I know Verizon can switvh the numbers since we've done it before.)

PagePlus also uses Verizon network. as for 2nd rated, say like... ur at Disneyland... since there are a ton of people using the Verizon towers, you may get slowed down as Verizon will priority their own subscribers first before others. Also, you lose features like roaming on another network if Verizon doesnt exist(which shouldnt be a problem).

You shouldnt need to activate your phone, if you buy your phone straight out(assuming its a verizon phone), you just need to move your line over to total wireless and then just pop the sim card into the new phone.

Great!
Is speed any different with PagePlus? Looks a little cheaper than Verizon ($80 v. $119), but more than Total Wireless ($60.)

i dont think so. PagePlus and TotalWireless are both owned by tracfone.
i did a little look up, heres a difference as well...

Total Wireless is throttled to 5mbit/2mbit. They don't have VoLTE, WiFi calling, or tethering. However extra data is $10/3GB and it doesn't expire. TW is a much better deal for multi-lines.

Verizon Prepaid has no throttling and some limited voice roaming. They have VoLTE, Wifi Calling, and tethering. However, extra data is $20/3GB expires in 90 days. VZW is much more expensive for multi-lines.

My dd has the $40 month plan on page plus, its unlimited data but after using 3gb on 4G it throttles to 2G speed. My dd only notices that sometimes and she definitely uses more than 3gb a month.
We all use PP except my youngest, I am thinking of moving to TW for a shared plan because he wants an iphone with data for his 8th grade graduation present.
The prices are pretty good for shared plans.
