Too tall for rides?

I know fitting on rides is talked about often on here but I am asking more about height than weight.

I was considering Universal this next trip and no Disney or maybe one day MK. I just can't do that if one of my kids won't fit the big coasters and the HP rides.

My middle son (16) is 6'4" and about 250. He is not real muscular, more lanky. Older brother (19) is 6 ft, 240 but more bulky.

Do you think they will have trouble? Thanks to insurance costs going up so much I need to choose either Universal or Disney I think. I have a good price for a condo, but we were going to stay a night or two onsite as well. I hate to spend money on tickets and rooms to get there and find out one kid doesn't fit.

I would appreciate any insight anyone has. I thought my plans were set but our insurance (and deductibles/copays) have thrown me for a loop. (Before anyone asks-we can still afford to go, just probably not 2 weeks at all the parks, eating out all table service, etc I'm not crazy and even if I was, my husband is already stressed about it and watching everything )

Being 6' 4" won't knock the son out of riding

I've been on rides with friends that are taller than your son

A few rides could be tight if sitting in front row at gringotts ride
Back row accomadates a person with longer legs more easily

My husband is 6'5". He has learned not to go on the Woody Woodpecker coaster - but that's a kiddy coaster so I do it with the kids instead.

RRR was almost an issue. The website has a maximum height on there - which I think is 6'7". My husband was measured and he could feel the measuring bar touching the top of his hair, but not his scalp. So, he barely made it. His shoes much have been higher than we thought and the bar a little lower than we expected. He had ridden it before on other trips and this is the first time he was measured for it - actually, measured all three times he did it during our trip. His shoulders are a tighter fit on that ride - but he barely makes the height.

I can't help with weight - my husband is under 200 lbs.

I can't think of any other ride issues.

Thank you. I feel better. He is type 1 so supposed to loose about 25 lbs in the next few months and hasn't grown for 3 months, so he should be good. He is still in the arms and legs stage so I will remember the back row. If it is one or two rides it's not a big deal but he really loves the wild stuff, so I hate for him to miss the best ones.

I don't see him willingly riding the woody woodpecker coaster, although I would love a picture of him on it LOL

Do the back row for gringotts and the mummy rides

If sons height is in his legs, could be fine on RRR for compfort

tell the TM at the ride they need to place him in the seat or row due to his height

Ditto what others said. My husband is 6'4" and not quite 250. He was able to get on all of the rides. Some were a tight squeeze, but he's kinda used to that by now - movie theaters, airplanes, etc., he simply has less room than smaller people. There are definitely differences on many rides between front and other rows. The rides that have 'cars', like Gringotts and Mummy. Couldn't hurt to check in with team members to see if one row or seat would be preferable over the others.
