Touring Japan with my husband and his buddy. Both male, 60 + and not really Disney fans... I am the fan, lol... I decided that one day I go on my own and the other day they join as my husband is recognizes and told his buddey " you need to see it once". So which part do I do only own and which one should they see??
thanks!

If you've never been there yourself, I'd highly recommend DisneySea/Fantasy Springs for your solo day. It's not to be missed. Then perhaps look to take them through Disneyland on your other day. But DisneySea is amazing, and probably one of the best Disney parks anywhere.

So it would be one solo day and one day with them? I’d say do Disneysea solo and TDL with them. I think they’d be impressed by Disneysea but since you said your husband said “you need to see it once”, I think that means TDL.

Plus, if they’re not fans and you want to see Fantasy Springs, makes more sense to do that solo.

Are you saying that because as a solo I get more out of DisneySea? - can rush better on my own lol... I need to check park maps out in detail... One option would be maybe to have have meet me in the second park with the evening pass.. I am just now trying to figure all this out.
thanks!

No, I would say since you seem to be a Disney person and the others aren't - DS is a park a Disney person should see and enjoy. If you're there, I'd even say it's a must-do for you, especially Fantasy Springs! The others might not appreciate it, but you probably will. It's different from the other parks, especially those in the US.

Tokyo Disneyland is more fun for people who rarely go to Disney parks because there's better shows, more rides (shorter waits) and overall more of a Disney feel.

People who aren't big fans of Disney are more likely to get impatient at the longer waits at DisneySea and less likely to appreciate the theming that differentiates it from other Disney parks.

Disney land is just like magic kingdom or Disneyland California (with a Tokyo twist of course), rides you recognize, the castle etc

Disney sea is unique and also the least in your face Disney of the two. I would take non Disney people to Disney sea!!

I will definatley do a full day there and try for an evening pass. DS is definately for me more a prio for DL.. I think Disney Sea is it for the other two! The lines at DS is though a good point.. mayber DL is the better one?? oh decisions.. but good decisions one needs to make.

I took someone who is absolutely not a Disney fan back in 2019 (in terms of theme parks she goes to Universal only and would never set foot into WDW) and she loved Disneysea WAY more but enjoyed TDL as well.

so I am looking at what rides are in which park... no I am leaning disneyland... 1. more ride option and less lines.. and I think they might enjoy Pirates of the Carrbean, HM, and Jungel cruise... vs.... journey etc... in DS wiht hours wait... ugh.

I think you should do Disneyland solo and DisneySea together. That park is on another level and has attractions that I think appeal to everyone, even if they don't know the IP.

Just got back and would 100% do DisneySea. Had a day and a half and wish I did both at DisneySea. Just such a beautiful park and nothing like anything you've done Disney before. I did find it shockingly packed. When we think US parks are busy, we have nothing on Tokyo! Have a great trip!

Was it very cold?

For context, Mt. Fuji had no snow at all that late in the year (mid-Nov) and the locals commented that was both odd and how warm it was. It may have been an anomaly which is why I mention it. However we found it very warm! It was like Florida in Sept/Oct type. Very comfortable in our shorts and t-shirts.
