Hello!

I’m a bit confused and wasn’t able to find a thread that answered my questions so hopefully someone here can help.
We were able to secure the Tokyo Disneyland Resort via DVC points for spring of 2025 (yay). Membership services informed us that that was all they could do - tickets for attractions etc they couldn’t help with.
looking into getting park tickets the official website states that people staying on property WILL get tickets - even beyond capacity limits?
My problem is - the hotel reservation doesn’t show up on the official website (apparently that’s a common problem?). So - should I get tickets now? Or not worry an out it until I’ve checked in? We wanted to go to fantasy springs as well - all of the packages I’ve seen that guarantee entry make you also book a hotel reservation. So I’m a bit stuck in a neverending circle. Anybody with some tips, tricks, experience - I would sure appreciate your insight!

You’re guaranteed tickets if you’re a guest in the Disney hotel. You can wait until you get there. Or, if you want them early, buy through Klook, and then add them to your app.

Vacation Packages won’t help you as you don’t need the room. For FS, you’ll be dependent on snagging individual ride tickets via the app once you arrive at the park. But those are often snatched up in minutes.

You didn’t ask, but since Tokyo rooms are a poor use of DVC points, why not rent out those points and use the cash to pay for a Vacation Package, if they’re still available? You’ll also have the peace of mind of being an “official” hotel guest, and get all the perks that come with that.

I was very glad we got a vacation package when we had our first visit earlier this year. You get three advance fast passes per day. You pay a premium for the package but if it’s a once in a lifetime trip (or one of likely very few visits for me) it was totally worth it. Plus you can use their version of lightning lanes on the apps to get more short-line experiences. There are some other minor benefits that I don’t remember and probably don’t matter.

Something to consider if you can reverse the points transaction and pay cash instead, renting out the points—which would make better economic sense in any event (sorry for more unsolicited advice but it comes from a place of love ❤️.)
