We may go to the drone show at Disney Springs Thurs Aug 29th. I have read horror stories about crowds, parking ,exiting the parking garages etc. Does anyone have advise on when to arrive, where to park, how to get out of the parking garages. We are staying at Fort Wilderness, how is the bus situation after the show? Thanks so much.

We went on a Thursday a couple of weeks ago. We are local so I can’t speak for hotel transportation. Arrived around 4 to walk around and eat dinner before show, had no problem parking. My husband didn’t stay and left around 7 and said garage was crazy with people coming in. Leaving wasn’t as bad I thought but we did wait about 20 mins after show to avoid mass exit. Took about 10 mins to get out. Hope that helps!

Would you consider investing in a table service dinner that night, or at least dessert and drinks? Turf Club at Saratoga Springs is really nice, and a reservation there will get your car onto the property. Book there around 7-8 and after the meal, drive to the Congress Park section and watch from their pool area. We stayed there in late July and there were only 100 or so guests along a several-hundred-foot stretch of walkway along the lake. You're looking at a mirror-image of the shapes, but it really doesn't matter except when they have the show title at the end. Unfortunately the sound projection isn't very good, but in my mind it's worth it to avoid the DS traffic/bus chaos at the end.

No issues parking before the show for us.

The later show is less crowded if you can do that one.

We ate at the House of Blues and then went out their back door to watch, which was nice. They have an area for people who spend more than we did, but we were right next to them.

Take your time in leaving to avoid the rush and it will be much less stressful.

If I were at Fort Wilderness I would just take the bus to Disney Springs and back.

While the West End is much more busy now, the rest of Disney Springs is about the same as usual.

We did the 10:45 show twice. Once we took the bus to Disney Springs, once we drove.

Bus: Pretty easy to hop on the bus. You’ll just walk towards AMC/Cirque area when you get off the bus. We stopped at the Starbucks there and then followed the cast members holding up lighted batons. It was pretty smooth. Timed it so we arrived around 10:35, we stood on the grassy area to the left of House of Blues and watched the show. Not crowded in that area at all.

Went back to the bus bay and caught the resort bus and it was easy. We just enjoyed the a/c and didn’t stress about traffic.

Drive: Went again about a week later and parked in the Orange lot. Plenty of parking spots. Got there earlier this time, was probably there around 10pm. Went to Starbucks again and then ended up being directed by the CMs to the area in front of Jaleo. They still make you walk in a loop to the grassy area and then double back. Then we waited. Not that crowded either. Great view but best if you’re actually by the railing. I have someone’s phone in most of my pics here. But the drones are high up so it’s easy to see no matter where you are.

Getting out of the lot after was more chaotic. Took a bit of time to exit Orange since we parked at the very top of the garage but it moved constantly, just slowly. Traffic was a bit slow but going back to the Fort was pretty smooth once we were out of the Springs area.

We did 9:00PM we Drove from Pop Century we had just missed bus we Parked in Lime Garage due to West side parking lot very busy. We left a little later than show getting out parking lot was getting busy people coming in but leaving was a breeze. Back at pop century in 10 Min.

I guess the word is out. We stayed there early July, and there were only 20ish people watching in the Congress Park section each night we were there.

The 100 I mentioned was for the early show, and there was plenty of space. I wouldn't have remotely considered it crowded even had there been 3-4 times as many. We went again for the late show and there were about 20.

We were there end of July and took the bus from grand Floridian. We shopped in Disney springs, got something to eat and walked around to Saratoga springs and watched the drone show from there. But some of the verbiage was backwards from that vantage point. But it was much less crowded.

Is there any chance this drone show gets extended past Sept 2? Or is it just disappearing til next summer?

Has anyone seen something about when it will return? We're going in February 2025 and will only hit Disney Springs if the Drone Show is there ;)
