Haven't been in years, and wanted see what people thought before I committed to the ADR.

I would dine just about anywhere solo. I'm glad we've experienced BOG, but I'm not in a hurry to go back. It's nice to see the various rooms inside the Beast's castle. But we didn't love the food. And with the prix fixe pricing, the food we got simply wasn't worth it.

Don’t allow the fact that you are solo deter you from eating in any restaurant you wish. I do it all the time. Rather, go where the food is good and the ambiance appeals to you. I have eaten in BOG three times, twice solo and once with family. Loved the ambience, but the food was just meh to us. Unless they overhaul the menu I probably wouldn’t go back.

That's really what my question is-- is the food at BOG worth the two DDP TS credits? Otherwise, I'd find a breakfast or something to use my extra TS credit, since otherwise it wouldn't get used.

if your wondering about the solo aspect versus the theme and food it’s a no brainer. Been there at least two times solo.

I would find someplace else for dinner that only takes one credit and then I would use that extra credit for breakfast at Topolino’s!!

I like Tutto Italia when dining solo.

BOG is not worth the price, anymore, IMO. The atmosphere is awesome, but the food is mediocre at best. If you want to see the location and have the experience, then go for that. If you want a good meal, go somewhere else. Liberty Tree Tavern has fairly good food, (or at least used to) and has a nice ambiance, IMO. It has been a while since we ate there, however, and many things have changed. We also really like Jungle Navigation Skipper Canteen. Reliably good food there.

We did BOG last trip and it was a one and done for us. The theming was great and the rooms that you dine in are amazing, but the food was mid at best. Didn’t care for the dessert options.

It’s was a good experience for celebrating a birthday but as far as doing it again, there are better options.

In the future, I will be doing solo trips as well and I think most places are good for solo dining. It will be nice to go and not have to have someone not able to do things that I would like to do.

But I also enjoy trips with others.

Never dined there. However for such a pricey and premiere eating location I am surprised that the food gets such poor reviews. Next time I might go there solo anyways if Belle came by for a chat. 👸

Her and the Beast walk around but that might have changed. I’m not saying the food was bad, but it needs to reflect the pricing and theming. It’s just not a good value to experience ratio compared to other restaurants on property.

It’s worth a try once if you are really into the Beauty and the beast theming and don’t set expectations high in the food quality. The menu needs work for sure.

I dined there once as a solo, and I agree with what others say, that there's virtually no place I'd avoid eating at solo. Except, for me, I avoid anywhere with communal tables (had a bad experience once). I love meals where there are characters, not at my table. I'm such a people watcher, and there's so much to see as they react to seeing the characters.

I have to say that the food quality was much better than I expected. I would highly recommend going to BoG. I see no problem in a solo reservation. You might have a lot of fun observing the other tables and see the beast coming through the room. The theming is fantastic.

Yeah, no. Cool theming, but not THAT great. Used to go for breakfast to get early access to the back of the park, but the food was definitely not worth the price. But then, I'm a chef. Not a snobby one and always a fair critic, but I do know how to treat ingredients.

I feel like the Jungle Skipper Canteen does a much better job, and reservations are easy to get.

I've always thorught the food was good there - though it has been a while. I am going back in a month though, so I'll let everyone know.

We ate lunch at BOG for the first time a few years ago. Totally unimpressed and seemed like an odd hodge/podge between QS & TS. With the pricey new fixed menu, we have NO plans to ever return. It is also at the back of the park and a long way to walk just for lunch/dinner. There is only one ride nearby as I recall. I think the reason it used to be popular when breakfast was served had to do with people figuring out they could 'game' the park opening time, already be near the back of the park and one of the first in line for a popular nearby ride.
